Whitner can relate to Bills fan’s pain – Inside The Bills
"We want to win," he said. "We needed a win, we had a win and we let it go. It’s tough. We’ve got to go back to work. It’s only the first game, but we can’t lose like this. We can’t lose these games."
Bills notebook: McKelvin says he'd bring last kickoff out again : Buffalo Bills : The Buffalo News
"The doctors didn't give me a definite idea [how long he would be out], but they did say it will need surgery and then I'll go from there," said Posluszny, who indicated the injury happened sometime in the second quarter. "But I should definitely be back. From what they told me, it's definitely not an I.R. (injured reserve) thing. This injury isn't as bad because I only broke one bone instead of the two last time."
BillBoard: McKelvin: I'd do 'same thing'
On why he came out of the end zone: "When I caught the ball, I didn't know if I had two feet inbounds or if my momentum took me into the end zone. If I downed it, it may have been a safety. So I decided to bring it out."

Sal Maiorana grades the Buffalo Bills performance on Monday night. Trent Edwards leads the way with a B+ and the wide receivers earn a D.
BillBoard: Trent salutes O-line
"I really think we need to focus on how well the offensive line played tonight. I really feel like the three guys on that group that have never played in an NFL football game before to start on Monday Night Football, Week One, and to play the way that they did, I'm still very, very impressed. There were times I was sitting in the pocket taking two, three, four hitches and still no one was touching me. That's something we can gain positively from. ... The discouraging part is we came up short."

"It wasn't inexperience," Bell said. "It's just making sure my head is even with the butt of the center. It's my job to get up on the line. On the false start, it was a lack of concentration. Those are mistakes I'll get cleaned up."

Sal Maiorana grades are pretty hypocritical for a guy who gave the Bills no chance of winning.

Yeah, really.
Did you (or have any of you rumblers out there) Listened to Sal’s Bills podcast? I listened to the one from Sept 10th. It was in the wake of Turk and Langston going and it was the most negative, vitriolic, biased, own agenda having piece of BS I’ve heard in a long while. Basically it was 20mins of hating on everything to do with the current (and recent) Bills teams (except Russ Brandon stangley….)
You guys should check it out and laugh at their prediction for last night’s game………

Sal Maiorana’s podcasts are always extremely negative. You’d think the Bills are the worst team to hit professional football in the history of the league. I continue to listen to he and Leo Roth because it’s very good analysis, they know the team well, and they hit the topics very well. But their demeanor is extremely negative and unfairly hopeless. He even refers to himself as Ebenezer. It’s not like he doesn’t know.
I wish there was a podcast for the Bills that was as informed as Sal and Leo but wasn’t, as you say, vitriolic.

What I don't get....
Is how a team who practiced the no-huddle all offseason and preseason can look so disorganized running the no huddle on the last drive.
Anybody that was just happy to be in the game has become a pollyanna and is why we haven’t been to the playoffs in 10 years. The team keeps losing games like this, that’s all on coaching. Well coached teams don’t lose like this year after year.

They looked disorganized because they had to run quick plays and took two sacks.

That makes no sense. How does a happy fan equate to a losing team?

Two things that kept me up last night
1. Leo ran straight into that guy and allowed him to stand him up. Bad play kid, you have to be smarter.
2. Did Watson burn us on the same play for a TD twice? If so, that could be the place to pound on Fewell if you are so inclined.
Poor ball security leads to very painful outcomes

they finally
figured out our red zone defense. We had cover 2 helping on Moss and welker on the outside. Scott I believe had Watson, and never even got his head around

I liked the Nick Mendola article. Especially this…
This team continues to find ways to slice open my soul and pour battery acid into it.
Pretty well put.
So easy Marshawn Lynch can do it.
