this is why I waited to call for jail time.

I was and am as mad as anybody but there were only two possible suspects here: Very drunk and aggressive adults who obviously have nothing better to do or kids. The first was unlikely because if your drunk your loud and nobody seemed to see it happen. I also cant think of many adults who would do something that stupid but if they did, then yes jail was very warranted. In the other case kids shouldn’t go to jail. I bet if Leodis talks to them it will be more beneficial than locking them up.

Completely agreed with this. Scraping paint for 80 hours I think will ensure they never, ever, ever do something dumb with spray paint again.

Rec’d.

Wouldn't it be ironic if this team imploded and it had nothing to do with TO?

When the lawn grows they could cut it..

This was a stupid thing to do, but unless they made threatening remarks or sprayed something hateful, I don’t think you throw the book at them. Let the grass grow and have them cut it, have them cut it the rest of the year. But if they didn’t bust windows or permanantly damage anything, make the punishment fit the crime.

In Buffalo, that wouldn’t be for much longer!

I’ve already put away my lawn mower and got out the snow blower…ok maybe not.

Long enough to erase the grassfitti....

Have them shovel if Leodis is around in the winter (fingers crossed).

Please make sure they don’t get their picture on TV either and glamorize this mess.

Pretty sure their families would be mortified if it got out….I wouldn’t feel it was glamorized if I were the parents of these kids and you’d better believe my kids wouldn’t feel glamourized…..of course I would hope my kids wouldn’t spray paint genitalia on someone’s lawn (or anywhere else for that matter). Perhaps Mckelvin can just get the punks to do some charity work for a day with him in exchange for not pressing charges. That way they could see that he’s a real person, that what they did was stupid and potentially dangerous (even if they thought it was harmless), and they would have to give up a Saturday to do some work. Just a thought, but he’ll probably just let it go. Being in police custody for the day may be enough punishment depending on the kids.

They stopped showing streakers because it glamorized the act of it. I’m just saying don’t give kids a reason to get on TV.

They won’t have their photo shown or names released because they’re minors.

On WGR they were talking about how Bills fans may have already turned on McKelvin and by not pressing charges he looks like a sympathetic character and not the guy that lost the last game. Instead of being booed he probably will be cheered in Orchard Park this weekend. Would that have been the case without the vandalism? Chew on that…

Very interesting point

He’s certainly a more sympathetic figure in many folks’ eyes now…but this is also the town that gave Norwood an ovation after WR. I think the support will be there, regardless.

I definitely agree with the community service, at least for two months (each weekend).

good to see they were caught

although it seems like maybe they turned themselves in. either way, good ending, i think leo is doing the right thing, and i think community service would be very appropriate.

Community service and lots of it. Teach these kids a lesson. A little slap on the wrist does nothing but let them brag and want to do something moronic again.
