Around SBN: Jim Irsay: We Can Make It Work With Peyton Manning

I just started Trent Edwards over Aaron Rodgers in fantasy this week. The Bucs looked awful and Trent looked great. It still feels mighty weird.

That maybe the worst move in the history of fantasy football.

You realize that GB has the BENGALS, right?!

Bengals D is improved substantially.

However, Rodgers is the clear play.

Look at it this way if you start Edwards and he does poorly you lose lose. If you start Rodgers and Edwards does poorly you win lose and if you start Rodgers and Edwards does great you win win.

The Bengals held the Broncos to 140 passing yards until the final play. I am taking my chances with Lee and T.O. against a Bucs secondary that got torched.

Kyle Orton isn't Aaron Rodgers

Neck Beard redeux isn’t exactly a top-shelf QB.

Can't agree with you there man...

That’s not a smart move in my estimation…I can’t really envision a scenario where I would ever start Trent over Rodgers regardless of opponent.

Neither could I when I drafted him.

It still feels mighty weird.

That’s cuz it probably wasn’t the best idea.

So easy Marshawn Lynch can do it.

Good luck with that one.

I must confess

In one league, I have to think if I should start Edwards or Matt Ryan…or if McNabb is going to play.

Gutsy call Matt. I like following the ole gut sometimes. Everyone who his claiming that it is a bad move could be eating crow next week. Or you could look like an dumbass……

Or you could look like an dumbass……

This statement is in the running for one of the funniest I’ve read on this blog…ever.

Wouldn't it be ironic if this team imploded and it had nothing to do with TO?

I will probably look like an idiot. But the risk reward is so great.

I think you could do this, Matt. I think Bengal secondary wasn’t tested last game against Broncos. I’m not guy to give fantasy advices for anyone, but Michael Fabiano agree with you.

Hes no aaron rodgers but im taking the risk of starting edwards over kurt warner whos subpar performance last week discourages me.

Well pray that Edwards does well for Fantasy’s sake, AND the Bills’ sake. If he does well it’s win-win, and personally I’d be more worried about Edwards’ and the Bills’ survival rather than Fantasy…unless of course you have money on it.

No money.

Last week the Eagles D carried me with 38 of my 113 points. Let’s hope Jake Delhomme shows up again. :-)
