Inactive Thoughts: Week 2
Last week I was way off. That can be expected the first week. Drayton Florence and Derek Fine are back and Paul Posluszny is out after having surgery on his forearm. We weren't sure if Chris Kelsay would be able to go but he was listed as probable. Terrence McGee is questionable after back spasms (maybe from signing his name to a contract) kept him out yesterday. Here's my take for the 7 Bills players that will be inactinve Sunday from most likely to least likely.
Paul Posluszny
After having surgery expect the LB to be out for about 6 weeks.
Justin Jenkins
Not only was he inactive last week, he wasn't even on the team.
Ellis Lankster
He was inactive last week when Florence was out and with the DB's return it will be even harded for Lankster to see the field now.
Steve Johnson
Another inactive player from last week. There is no reason to expect anything different this week even if some of us want him out there.
Kirk Chambers
A man whose name I was pretty surprised to see on the list last week will probably grace it again this week. The Bills seemed content going with Jonathan Scott and Seth McKinney as their back-up linemen.
Chris Ellis
He was inactive last week as well but I anticipated him suiting up this week in place of Kelsay. If Kelsay's knee injury flares up after practicing yesterday, Ellis may well dress.
John McCargo
McCargo was active last week but was limited to the sidelines. Spencer Johnson is now fully recovered from injury.
Off the list from last week are Drayton Florence and Derek Fine returning from injury. Ashlee Palmer gets to dress for his first NFL game as a replacement for Poz's roster spot. McGee played through a groin injury last year and has consistently shown the willingness to fight through injury. I doubt he sits for the game. As I said last week it's pure speculation on my part. Who do you think will be on the field Sunday?
Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.

The title makes your thoughts sound inactive, and therefore unworthy of the time investment. :)

That’s why I named it in that manner, actually.

Keeping Stevie Johnson inactive in order to have Roscoe Parrish available seems crazy to me. It’s true that Roscoe can do great things returning punts, but opposing teams are very unlikely to kick it anywhere near him if they can avoid it, and as a WR he is completely worthless. Stevie, on the other hand, could make a huge difference in the passing game if Owens and Evans get double-teamed. I suppose the Bills may be thinking that putting Roscoe on the field for punt returns helps sell tickets, but that hardly seems like a reason to keep him when there is a much better player waiting to take his place.
Roscoe and Steve have proven equal amounts at WR – not much. I, too, want to see Steve Johnson play more but the Bills seem content without that right now. With Roscoe’s punt return ability he will be active every week barring injury.

Just watch — Johnson will be activated at some point, he’ll have a 100 yard game or thereabouts, and everyone will be asking why those dumb coaches didn’t make use of him earlier. It will be Fred Jackson all over again.
Maybe. But Johnson has 100 career receiving yards. I want him active on game days, too, but he is clearly 5th on the pecking order right now.

Well
Once Roscie gets his one return TD for the year, we can deactivate him going forward!

I was a lot closer this week. Only Drayton Florence, who isn’t fully healed, is out. McCargo dresses and he was my most likely to play among the 7 I picked.
