PrintWeek 2 of the 2009 NFL regular season is set to kick off at 1:00 PM ET today, and the authors of Buffalo Rumblings are back to provide our picks for all 16 games on the docket today. Nine of us are participating, and once again, we encourage you to leave your own picks in the comments section. All of our picks are after the jump. 13-2 last week (I picked Brian’s teams except I had Denver), not so hopeful of a repeat.
Car @ ATL – Falcons win when their defense stops the run
MIN @ Det – Lions not ending their winless streak this week
Cin @ GB – Packers are a bonafide contender; Cincy a bonafide underachiever
ARI@ Jax – Arizona’s defense does enough to win
OAK @ Kc – Croyle can’t do this gig
NE @ Nyj – Patriots bring that other arm out from behind their back
NO @ Phi – McNabb playing would have had this pick going the other way
Hou @ TEN – Titans offense precise
Stl @ WAS – Rams offense lays another egg
Tb @ BUF – Jackson keeps TB defense off balance
SEA @ Sf – Hasselbeck shows Hawks are back
PIT @ Chi – Ben makes a strong case for MVP
Cle @ DEN – Won’t need a lucky bounce this time
BAL @ Sd – Flacco Pro Bowl bandwagon has officially kicked off
Nyg @ DAL – Giants have a bad record in Dallas
IND @ Mia – Manning wills Colts to win
Not a single person took Miami! hahahaha, that is priceless.
I also think it’s pretty funny that I called out Kry and Brian for not taking enough upsets and there they are, leading the pack in correct choices.
I went a pretty crappy 10-5 last week, but that’s looking like it would be a good job against this week’s slate. I’ll go with:
Atlanta – they’re tough at home.
Minnesota
Green Bay
Jacksonville – suprised only one AZ though
Kansas City – I’ll take the home team
New England – Somehow, I find myself hating the Jets more. It’s odd.
New Orleans – no McNabb means no win for Philly
Houston – Random guess at an upset
Washington – bold call, WABillsfan, bold call
BILLS!
Seattle – I think they’re back
Chicago – Another upset guess. Can Pittsburgh run … at all?
Denver – tough to say which team is worse
San Diego – no love for the home team?
Dallas – more lack of love for home team?
Indy – stupid Dolphins
To have all Saints except one, and all Ravens except two seems a bit off. You’re underestimating both home teams, the advantage therein, and those teams’ defenses. I see very tough games, but i figured a more even view in terms of the picks.
Jauron’s nuts must have dropped this year….Go Bills!
But Kevin Kolb is the starting QB....
I can’t pick them, not when Brees will likely lead his Saints to at least 24-27 points….

lose almost every time. Even in front of the 1,500 fans or so in Jax, the Jaguars should be heavy favorites.
