Bills vs Buccaneers: Week 2 Open Game Thread

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Buffalo Bills, Sep 20, 2009 4:05 PM EDT

Thebestteameverred_medium   Tb_medium
Buffalo Bills (0-1) vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0-1)
4:05 PM ET, Ralph Wilson Stadium (TV: FOX)
Bills inactives: LB Paul Posluszny (arm), rest TBD.

Today, we'll find out exactly what these 2009 Buffalo Bills are made of.  Coming off of a devastating season-opening loss at the hands of New England on Monday Night Football, the Bills will take the field in roughly a half-hour to take on Tampa Bay in their 2009 home opener.

It's going to be a crazy atmosphere.  Expectations for this team are raised despite the early loss thanks to the team's unexpectedly strong play.  Terrell Owens is making his Ralph Wilson Stadium debut.  Buffalo's 50th Anniversary All-Time Bills Team will be unveiled at halftime.  It's going to be a day of memories, excitement and hopefully victorious football today.

It's time for these Bills to grow up.  It's time to not just avoid the let-down, but prove to the skeptics that the team is better than the fluke-prone pretenders of seasons past.  This team has talent, it has youth, and it has energy.  The Buccaneers are a formidable foe, but their talent pales in comparison to ours, and this game is on our turf.  It's time to show the world exactly how good this team can be.  This is your open thread for this must-win game.  GO BILLS!

I agree

I think the total lack of a pass rush has really hurt the Bills secondary…. We get pressure today a quick three and out, McGee almost got a pick, and then Whitner takes one to the hosue…. A mediocre group of recievers will get open if the have enough time

Alright, I am pretty sure there is not a video link for this game. I’ve been looking, six sites and nothing but one WGR radio feed. One website was just using their window to push an ad-filled website. I posted an optional audio link on their and was kicked from the room. And no email replies from this board. Looks like it’s just not there this week.

Its not exactly building confidence that the defense can make a stop when they need too.

given up 18 points in the 4th quarter in two games………not great

A two-possession game

except Brady vs. Leftwich – not much similarity.

Well.....

not a huge day for Jackson fantasy wise.

That fumble didnt help.

Me too

But the rest of my team is banged up so I lose anyway.

Wearing my Bills jersey to the Eagles-Bills game in Philly probably wasn't the smartest thing I've ever done. But then again, that's why they call me die-hard.

yeah it does

because they’ll need 2 TD’s to take the lead

instead of being able to tie with a TD and a FG
