Buffalo Bills vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers pregame.
It's gameday! Time to shake off the loss to the Patriots.
This game should be a win at the friendly confines of the Ralph.
Bills on Offense.
This is a game we should see Terrell Owens and Lee Evans make their mark on the opposition. Dallas scorched the Bucs for 3 long touchdowns. If there is a team we can go deep on, it is this one, as evidenced by Dallas.
If the running game has any early success, I would like to see more play action this week, to try and get the Bucs secondary out of position and blow a coverage or two or three.
Bills on Defense.
#1) Shut down the Bucs running game which was solid in week 1. Cadillac Williams looked good along with Ward. We need to shut down their running game first.
#2) Shut down Kellen Winslow Jr. on obvious passing downs.
With our Tampa 2 defense, the Bucs know that the middle of the field is the place to exploit in the passing game (Especially after Ben Watson exploited it with the game on the line last week), and Kellen Winslow Jr. is a far superior receiving talent than Ben Watson. I fully expect Kellen to be the focal point of their offense in the passing game and I think we need to bracket him in obvious passing situations much like the Packers did to Greg Olson in week 1 if the Bills are going to win this one. With Antonio Bryant out, Winslow is their best receiver, and if Leftwich is going to beat us, the Bills need to force him to do it by throws to wide recievers. I like the matchups of our corners vs. the bucs wr corps.
My Prediction.
Bills dominate 1st half, Bucs make it close in 2nd half.
Bills 34 Bucs 27

Bucs fan here
I’ll give you guys a little preview of the Bucs. Most people see our roster and our coaching and arent very excited, so most people outside Tampa dont really know what we are all about…
When the Bucs are on offense….
When we pass….Leftwich hangs on to the ball for a long time, has a slow delivery, but is very decisive and that usually keeps him from getting sacked too too much. He would rather throw down field into double coverage than check down to a RB. Our offense is run dominant, and when we pass we are trying to go deep with it, so it fits his style. Clayton is the most physical WR in the NFL, and after Hines Ward probably the 2nd best blocking WR. When he isnt getting the ball, he’s looking to hand out snot bubblers. Sammie Stroughter was a 7th round pick this year , and Maurice Stovall a 3rd round pick 3 years ago. These 2 guys will see the field a lot with Bryant out. Stovall has a very big frame, and is good on the jump ball. Stroughter is a little slot guy, but has a lot of skill for a 7th rounder.
When we run…We employ the zone blocking scheme. We are without our best OLmen, Jeff Faine. This is probably the worst injury on our entire offense we could’ve suffered. We have no competent backup OLmen. Caddy and Ward will probably see the field early, then Graham by the 2nd quarter. Whoevers hot will continue getting the most reps. Our RG Davin Joseph is like a Congo gorilla out there. Massive, physical, and very strong. Other than our backup Center Sean Mahan who will be filling in for Faine, we have 4 very capable run blocking OLmen.
Overall on offense…..a lot of zone blocking and deep passing off play action. You will probably get a couple INTs and a few sacks. We are without our #1 and #2 offensive players in Jeff Faine and Antonio Bryant. It will be very difficult to make up for those losses, as WR and Ol are probably the 2 thinest positions on this team

When the BUcs are on defense.....
where to start…..
when YOU guys run….we have probably the most over looked group of LBers in the NFL. Barret Ruud is a bonafide stud in the middle, and OLBers Geno HAyes and Quincy Black fly around the field and love to hit. A lot of quickness and talent in this group. Our safeties are head hunters, Sabby and Jermaine Phillips are big hitters. Our CBs are big in the run game as well. Ronde’s abilities vs the run are well known, but Aqib Talib is a real force vs the run. He is bigge rthan your average CB, and he really likes to hit. When it comes to our DL, we dont have any studs against the run but 3 out of 4 of our starters are good vs the run. DT Ryan SIms is kind of lousy vs the run, and gets pushed around. This is not good as it sometimes effects our LBers abilities to fill the lane, as well as opening up huge gaps for the RB to run through
When you guys pass….well our secondary gave up a ton of big plays last week. We have a completely different scheme. No more Tampa 2. We run a defense you guys will be familiar with. Its the same defense Miami ran in the early 2000s with JIm Bates as D Coordinator. So a lot of blitzing, and a lot of man coverage. Our DL is terrible rushing the passer, and it makes our secondary vulnerable. Not to mention our secondary seems to be slow to adjust to the new scheme and assignments. We have a very skilled secondary, but until they work out the kinks in the new defens eyou can expect a few big plays in the pass game
STs- We have agreat return gamke with pro bowler Clifton Smith. Our kicker Mike Nugent has a strong leg that but his accuracy so far has been inconsistent. Our punte ris on the IR, so we picked a guy up off the streets named Dirk Johnson who has been mediocre.
Good luck you guys, my dad iis from Rochester and I grew up following the Bills and they are still my 2nd favorite team to this day. Very excite tdo finally be playing in Buffalo
