Wow, lots of faith in the Lions this week eh?

Gotta say, I’m not giving them a chance, even though it is Washington.

Bills fan? In Colorado? It's more likely than you think.

The Redskins barely survived high school level competition last week so I took Detroit. The Bills pick was a total homer pick though.

Of course we could make things more challenging, Lisa, but then the stupider students would be in here complaining, furrowing their brows in a vain attempt to understand the situation--Seymour Skinner

Who did the ’Skins play last week again?

They beat St Louis 9-7 and did it at home.

23-8 so far

13-2 and 10-6 after two weeks, not sure why I’m a game short, maybe it’s because I missed the opening day Steelers-Titans Thursday game.

Kc @ PHI – Philly is a more complete team
GB @ Stl – I’m not picking the Rams over anyone yet
Sf @ MIN – Hill the right QB, just not for this week’s matchup
Cle@ BAL – Ravens balanced offense and Cleveland’s confusion
NYG @ Tb – Giants defense will make TB wish for the Bills again
Jac @ HOU – Texans can do this. Totally a gut feeling.
Ten @ NYJ – Titans proving to be an overrated team after last year’s high
Atl @ NE – Don’t be fooled, Pats have not forgotten how to win
WAS @ Det – The Lions just can’t stop anybody
CHI @ Sea – Hasselbeck not playing, the Bears are improving
NO @ Buf – I can’t. I just can’t.
Mia @ SD – Rivers is legit, ladies and gents
Pit @ CIN – Upset pick here, you can’t keep winning on the road if you can’t run
DEN @ Oak – Buckhalter healthy for what must be a record three games in a row
Ind @ ARI – Home team and better defense
Car @ DAL – Dallas defense is last in fantasy but as much as I’d like an upset here, it ain’t happenin’.

We're a game short above

We didn’t pick the Pit/Tenn game either…I guess Brian just gave us all a victory….or a loss…

If he improves in the standings we may have to do that just to klnock him down a little.

Skins/Lions
WAS @ Det – The Lions just can’t stop anybody

This game should be described as the movable object (Lions D) meets the stoppable force (Redskins O).

Alright, first time I try this.

KC @ PHI - KC, any offence that is centered on Vick and Kolb is destined to lose… even against KC.
GB @ STL – GB, no explination needed.
SF @ MIN – Mini. It’s their toughest challenge yet, but that still doesn’t say much.
CLE @ BAL – BAL. When putting the Ravens’ D vs the Browns mess, I gotta go with the Ravens.
NYG @ TB – NYG. Eli may be the most underated QB in the league.
JAC @ HOU – HOU. It’s only week 3 and Jacksonville is already talking about drafting Tim Tebow in the top 5, need I say more?
TEN @ NYJ – TEN. Their D will shut down the Jets overacheiving O.
ATL @ NE – ATL. That Falcons O just gets better and better and NE has been less then impressive thus far.
WAS @ DET – WAS. I ain’t betting for the Lions until they face the Rams this year.
CHI @ SEA - CHI. If Senica Wallace is your answer at QB then you lose.
NO @ BUF – BUF. I know we can win this one.
MIA @ SD – SD. With an under performin Jake Long having to cover Shawn Merriman, Chad is gonna be sacked at least 4 times (not all by Merriman mind you, but he’s enough of a destraction to allow other guys to come in for the sack).
PIT @ CIN – CIN. It’s a toss up for me on this one, so I’m gonna have to go with the home team.
DEN @ OAK – OAK. I still say that the Broncos are a mess.
IND @ ARZ – ARZ. Once again, toss up so I go with the home team.
CAR @ DAL – CAR. The ’Boys D might be good, but their O stinks. Romo is really unraveling in my eyes.

Huh??? The Cowboys are 2nd in the NFL in total offense. Romo had one bad game after completely destroying TB in week 1. Their D is what totally stinks. It’s actually worse than ours so far, ranking 30th in the NFL. Did you reverse those?

by Kurupt on Sep 27, 2009 11:21 AM EDT up reply actions

Probably did. But I’ll stand my ground on what I think of Romo; afterall his good game came against TB, a team that Trent and Fred destroyed as well. And seeing as how Romo is supose to be a lot better then Trent, he was supose to destroy them. But Romo was HORRIBLE against a descent D last week. I always thought that Romo was a glorified over-achiever that relied too heavily on TO, and I think that I’ll be proven right this season. I just hope tha Trent doesn’t turn out to be the same thing.

by CanadianBillsFan on Sep 27, 2009 11:34 AM EDT up reply actions

Trent certainly did well against TB, but not to the degree that Romo did. I’m not completely convinced of Romo, either, but I’m not about to discount him as much as you are. As far as Trent goes, I don’t really think there are many people who think highly enough of Trent to consider him an overachiever.

HAHAHA. Far from it. I actually like the Falcons pick more and more the more I hear the weather report in NE. Turner will have a field day (hopefully for me as a Bills fan and a fantasy owner).

And don’t forget that neither Moss or Welker are playing today either. This should be an easy win for Atlanta.

Atlanta should be a lock today, both Moss and Welker are out and Brady is still visibly shacky. The team that is worrying me the most right now in the AFC East are the Jets, their no-name receiving corps and rookie QB are actually getting the job done.

Come on CBF

don’t just make stuff up. Moss and Welker have no been declared out, and it won’t surprise me if one or both play.

Brady shaky, is still better than 90% of the QB’s in the league….

The Falcons have to deal with the weather too. A dome team coming out to play in the rain can mean problems. And it’s not like their run game has been all that good this year, averaging 3.4 ypc. That’s actually less than the Pats’ 3.6, which hasn’t been good either….

The reports that i read last night all said that both Moss and Welker had a better chance of missing the game then they did of playing. Having either one out is a death stroke to their O. But your right, they haven’t been ruled out. And you just might be right about Brady.

Supposedly Welker was just declared out, I’m guessing Moss is playing then.

first time for everything

Alright, first time I try this since returning from Iraq and actually being able to pay attention to football. Thanks for providing the format for me to copy CBF.

KC @ PHI – KC, no McNabb, no Westbrook…bad day for Philly.
GB @ STL – GB, STL is horrible
SF @ MIN – Favre makes the difference in the end
CLE @ BAL – BAL…CLE reminds me of STL
NYG @ TB – NYG closer than people think though
JAC @ HOU – HOU…White and Johnson have a field day
TEN @ NYJ – TEN but this could go either way IMO
ATL @ NE – ATL…Matt Ryan returns home with a win
WAS @ DET – DET…they get off the schnide this week
CHI @ SEA – CHI. Cutler is going to tear up SEA
NO @ BUF – BUF…we pull out a squeaker in the 4th.
MIA @ SD – SD…Miami never fares well on the west coast
PIT @ CIN – PIT…they rally after lasts week poor game
DEN @ OAK – DEN…DEN is a mess but OAK is worse
IND @ ARZ – IND…I dont bet against Peyton Manning
CAR @ DAL – CAR…toss up but CAR can really run the ball

You're 9-6 with a game left. Not outstanding. :)

A lot of your picks just chose this week to disappoint.

I did great, 13-2 so far. I lost Washington over Detroit and Arizona over Indy.

I’m also in an anxious fantasy situation. Last night I had Peyton Manning and Jason Witten left to play, while my opponent had Larry Fitzgerald. I trailed by 38 points, thought it was over. Then Manning went off for 37 points and Fitzgerald only netted him 5. I hate rooting for the Cowboys, but I did pick them, and I need Witten to score 7 (he’s projected to score 12) to pull off the crazy comeback win.
