Sullivan: When it came time to pop, Bills' Edwards cooked up a dud : The Buffalo News
This was bad, folks. It was even worse than any of the preseason disasters, because the first-team offense (minus Langston Walker, of course) was out there for the entire game. Trent Edwards, confronted by a team with dynamic linemen and a genuine pass rush, turned back into Captain Checkdown.

Lynch was asked what he learned during his time away. "Same old me," Lynch said. "Same ol' G. That's not going to change."

Bills hope to get T.O. more involved | John Wawrow
Of Edwards’ 91 attempts this season, 78 have been short ones. As for the remaining 13 attempts that traveled 16 yards or more, Edwards has completed only four for 117 yards with two touchdowns and an interception. Against the Saints, Edwards’ first 20 attempts were short passes, and he only attempted two deep — both incomplete to Owens.

BillBoard: T.O. sounds off
"But [Sunday] as you saw, ... [the media] took some more than initiative to try to get me to kind of go down the wrong path. I know the last two teams that I've been on, I felt like I left those teams prematurely due to the media interviews that I've done and things kind of taken out of context, and they created sort of a media whirlwind in the locker room and things kind of went downhill from there. I'm just trying to do the best job I can do as far as answering the questions and trying to be a better teammate and not try to throw people under the bus.''

DiCesare: Saints' defense was on the ball against Bills : Bob Dicesare : The Buffalo News
The Bills mustered all of 243 yards, went 2 for 14 on third down, and surrendered four sacks of quarterback Trent Edwards as the Saints pressured him with alacrity. The Bills' longest play of the day came on a 25-yard touchdown connection between punter Brian Moorman and defensive end Ryan Denney off a fake field goal. Only one second-half possession lasted longer than five plays.

Bills Replay: Saints' rush kept heat on Edwards : Buffalo Bills : The Buffalo News
The Saints limited the Bills' running game and then brought plenty of heat on passing downs as Williams' defensive front had its way with the Bills' offensive line.

Bills Getting What They Paid For at OT : Buffalo Sports Daily
At this point, I can’t fathom the Bills not spending the money to make a veteran move at the tackle spot, even if Bell isn’t out for a significant length of time. Scott was uncovered yesterday, Chambers isn’t a NFL starter and Meredith belongs on the practice squad, not the field on Sundays.

Changing on a dime - Fantasy Updates
1. Terrell Owens and Lee Evans are both under 100 yards on the season. At least Owens was targeted deep twice Sunday, even though he didn't have a catch. Evans is averaging 11.1 yards-per-catch, almost five yards below his career average. The Bills offense should get more vertical, but probably not enough for either wide receiver to live up to their draft value. Still, it's not a bad time to buy low if it's low enough.

Not really a big fan of some of Lynch's comments.

Same old Lynch? “Same ole’ G” ??? I sincerely hope he learned what it means to make wise choices and to understand how lucky he is to be where he’s at in life.

… he was supposed to change his grammar use during suspension, too?

Sully knows controversy, not Football.

Everytime I see a Jerry Sullivan column, one thing that becomes apparent to me is this guy has never played organized football. I can almost certainly say Sully has never been fooled on a play action pass, or a trap play, He is someone who writes about something he has never participated in, perhaps that is why he is so close to Mike Schopp.

But what sully does know is how to create controversey about a sport he has probably never played in an organized setting.

I consider his opinion worthless.

Thats true

I don’t even read an article if I see his name next to it. I think he should be let go and pick Brian up off waivers.

I think he’s a great writer and that article was pretty spot-on. My biggest issue with him so far this season is how he taunted Owens at the podium. I did notice he didn’t mention he was the one doing it. It’s definitely his east coast accent though.

I do agree with Peter King in that we need to hold off on judging Edwards on a game-to-game basis. It’s so hard not to as this organization has been quick to pull the plug in the past. We’re all accustomed to that mentality.

I hate jerry sullivan. I always have. He just seems like he always has an agenda.

I don’t hate him, I just think he is an idiot when it comes to talking about football.

But he isn’t the biggest idiot who gets paid to comment about football.

That honor would go to Mike Schopp of WGR550.

This is a guy who admitted on air that when the neighborhood kids wanted to get a game of football going, he would try to get out of it and be referee?

HAHAHAHAHAHA!

It’s amazing that people like him get paid to comment on something he knows nothing about through experience.

Sullivan graduated from the University of Missouri, so his education in both organized football and respectable journalism is sketchy at best. However, if you’re interested in the fleshy dimensions of your cousin, he can likely shed light on those ambitions.
He’s not a bad writer – frankly he’s very good at couching insults in just enough sugar to make people want to swallow.
Must be tough to be him, though. To look in the mirror and have a hack tool staring back at you.

Media Spin

That “Same ol G” comment was taken out of context. The “Im the same ol G” comment was the answer to the question:

“You seem a bit subdude, should fans worry that you’re not the same Beast Mode as their used to” and his reply was “I’m the same Ol G”……..

When asked how he felt about the suspension he replied “It was hard, I cant put it into words really”.

Media just doing their “Cut & Paste” on the Q&A.

They should get fined for that kind of crap. What happened to reporting the news in an unbiased fashion?
