Jauron wanted to save Edwards from Lions - Tim Graham - ESPN
Jauron takes full blame for not preparing Edwards for the Green Bay and Pittsburgh games saying he didn't want to do it again. They began prepping Trent for New England already so they decided to keep him out. Interesting.

Last Stuff From Steelers Game:
Shallow Thoughts & Nearsighted Observations - Mile High Report
"As I watched the Bills-Steelers snooze-fest Sunday, I was thinking that the Bills profoundly erred in picking Aaron Maybin, and would have been better off taking Michael Oher (or trading up to get an even higher-rated OT). They can't block anybody, and they're going to finish in last place in the AFC East because of it. It's too bad, because they are very good at WR, in the secondary, and on special teams."

Buffalo Bills Live Chat
Bills blogger Chris Brown answered questions during the Bills game. Here are the highlights
- Think the safe guys are Schobel, Maybin, Kelsay, Ellis. Believe it could be down to Denney and Bryan to see who is the 5th. See them keeping 5.
- Think that possibility exists [that Bryan makes the team over Denney.]
- Don't see [Maybin starting] in first half of season.
- Maybin has a strong work ethic, practices hard, has made some plays in the practice setting. Think he has a bright future.
- Ellis on defense, Bell on offense [have shown the most improvement since training camp].
- I don't think [Bell] will [start] for Week 1. His back injury cost him. Don't think it's disappointed in Walker as much as it is impressed by Bell. I think that's a distinct possibility [that Walker moves to RT if Bell takes over LT.]
- Nope it's Hangartner for the forseeable future. (When asked about Wood being the center of the future)
- Think there are a few guys on the bubble [at CB]. Guys that are safe in my estimation are McGee, McKelvin, Corner, Lankster, Florence.
- Don't think Drayton Florence (knee) will be ready for the opener. [He is] getting closer. Doing work on the side on the practice field.
- Think they may have to [keep 4 TEs] with Fine's hamstring injury. If they keep 4 Stupar is the guy. If not Stupar probably on the practice squad.
- Schouman IS the starting TE. Most experienced at the position, has best passing game chemistry with Trent and can be an every down guy blocking wise.
- Think [Steve Johnson]'s the 5th wideout. See him as a jack of all trades WR. (slot, wide, etc.)
- See [Hardy] going on reserve/PUP and getting on the field in 2nd half of the season.
- Not this year [will anyone unseat Josh Reed at WR]. Has too much on field chemistry with Trent.
- I think [Poz looks more ready to dominate this season].
- See [Harris] primarily as a special teamer as the year begins. Could push Ellison for time in the second half of the season.
- I see [Ashlee Palmer] making it. Coaching staff likes him a lot. Covers a lot of ground out there.
Player Tweets:
- Kawika Mitchell - "This traffic is terrible. If it's this bad w/ low attendance, it's goin to b a parkin lot outside The Ralph on all streets."
- More from Mitchell - "Preseason done with!! Patriots. It's f'in finally time 4 the real deal. I'm blessed and fortunate 2 b where I am. Truly! I love it man!!!"
- Lydell Sargeant (two tweets) - "Update on this past week... Tore my ACL this past week.. Had surgery this past Monday and everything was a success... The Bills franchise have decided to keep me and put me on IR.. Thnks for all the support fans, friends, and family.God has always blessed me and will continue 2"

SWEEEEEEET!!!!!!!!
"When troops flee, are insubordinate, collapse, or are routed in battle, it is the fault of the general." – Sun Tzu. Yes Jauron, I am talking to you.
I’m really disappointed by the fact that Parrish is higher on the depth chart than Johnson. I don’t think he should be above Reed in the slot but honest to god, he should be fourth behind Reed. He is an actual receiver that catches in traffic, can go up for the jump ball and you know, catch. Why Parrish would ever be put on a go route like he was last night on that Ftizy INT is beyond me. He doesn’t have the straight line speed and catching radius. It’s probably due to Parrish’s “experience”.
