Sense of doom hangs over Bills before season begins | Democrat and Chronicle
"Outside of the dreadful 2001 season, the first under Tom Donahoe and Gregg Williams when everyone knew the salary cap-strangled Bills were going to be terrible — and sure enough were — I can't recall more doom and gloom before a regular-season game has even been played." [And this was before they released Langston Walker!]

Omon earned a chance to face Pats : The Buffalo News
"Given the Buffalo Bills’ depth chart at running back going into training camp, Xavier Omon’s chances of getting on the field or even making the team looked bleak. But the Bills’ decision to cut veteran Dominic Rhodes and keep Omon says a lot about their confidence in the second-year pro. "
Schonert learns lesson in, well, life: What boss says goes - CBSSports.com
"Well, Stephen Hawking, guess what: It's his offense, not yours. You work for him. If he wants 3 yards and a cloud of punt, that's what he gets. If you're worried that people will think ill of you, do what coaches have done through time -- complain anonymously through the beat writer, who will happily transcribe, sanitize and publish your complaints."
Belichick on unexpected Bills offensive wrinkles - AFC East - ESPN
"I know that going into opening day every team holds back a few things for the start of the regular season that weren't out there in preseason. ... I'm sure they’ll have some wrinkles and things that we won't have prepared for, but at the same time when you've been in training camp and have had 40 practices, by the time you get to opening day there will be a lot of things that you'll be doing in that first game that you will have spent a lot of time on, and hopefully you’ll be able to do well in the regular season when it counts. "

From teh New York Times asking, In Buffalo, Is the Season Already Over?
Too depressing.
All is not lost!
The bills are men, and they put their pads on just like the Pats, and every other team.I expect the Bills to play furiously. A few TO’S, Td’S, and the refs doing their jobs, we could be unbeatable! We have an NFL franchise in Buffalo, so let’s back them 200%. GO BILLS!!!
Thanks for posting this…

Omon “earned” the chance….haha. More like he won a spot by default. He did nothing to prove himself capable of helping this team during the preseason.

The Buffalo News comparing the Bills to Bernie Madoff's Ponzi Scheme this morning was quite interesting. That sure is how it feels.
