Woman doesn't want Lynch charged : Buffalo Bills : The Buffalo News
"Hamburg police say that Buffalo Bills running back Marshawn Lynch took $20 from a Buffalo detective sergeant's wife but that she does not want to pursue criminal charges."

Schottenheimer owns eclectic QB portfolio - AFC East Blog - ESPN
"Brian Schottenheimer has worked with about every type you can imagine: gunslingers, game managers, grizzled veterans, rookies. And he's won with all of them. Most impressive are the names of the young gems he has helped polish over the past eight years. For Bills fans who are curious, I wanted to provide a rundown of starting quarterbacks Schottenheimer has been associated with."

KTAR.com - Arizona's Grimm given permission to talk to Bills
"'I don't know what the time schedule is on that,'' Grimm said. 'I'm not really worried about it right now. I've got a few important things to take care of first.... It's always flattering when you're considered for it but you've got to wait and see what it all contains and pertains to and how it's run - but that's all down the road.'"

Is Grimm interested in the Bills job? - azcentral.com blogs - Kent Somers

"What's unknown is if Grimm plans to interview. According to league sources, Grimm wants to find out more about the job before committing. ESPN has reported that Grimm is expected to turn down the opportunity. Grimm is also on a tight schedule."

Rex’s comment very telling – Inside The Bills
"When asked about Schottenheimer’s play calling performance in the Wild Card win over Cincinnati last weekend, Ryan not only praised his coordinator, but explained how he has pretty much resigned himself to the fact that Schottenheimer will be gone after the Jets’ playoff run comes to an end."

Chicago Bears' first 2 options for offensive coordinator foiled - chicagotribune.com
"Nothing is imminent with Fewell, though, as he interviewed to become the head coach of the Bills. Fewell served as the Bills' interim coach after Dick Jauron was fired. Barring an unexpected development, he will wait to make his next move until the situation in Buffalo is resolved. The Bills are believed to have a few candidates they still want to meet with." Also a note, former Bills OC Tom Clements was denied the opportunity to interview for the Bears' vacant OC spot by his current employer, Green Bay/

BillBoard: Simms on Bills
"'You’re in Buffalo, come on,' Phil Simms said. 'If you’re not teaching toughness first, then you’re not going to win big time, because of the weather and everything else. It’s gotta be about that, first and foremost. If you don’t have a coach who believes in trying to get big and tough and run the football – if that’s not the basis of everything he does – then you’re hiring the wrong guy,' Simms said.

Analysts size up Bills' coaching needs : Buffalo Bills : The Buffalo News
Phil Simms and Dan Dierdorf give their take on the Bills coaching search. Should the Bills go offensive or defensive, what attitude should the new coach possess, etc.

WGR 550 SportsRadio - Tim Graham: Young coach's fortunes rising
"ESPN's Tim Graham sang the praises of Brian Schottenheimer as potential head coach of the Bills during an informative and often-funny appearance on Tuesday's edition of The Howard Simon Show."

Buffalo Bills not in any hurry to hire head coach - Peter King - SI.com
"We don't know who the Bills' coach might be because, and I can assure you this, they don't know either. The Bills, I believe, have given up on two intriguing candidates, Bill Cowher and Stanford coach Jim Harbaugh.... When the Bills began this process, they made it clear they're going through a long process that won't be short-cutted unless Cowher would have said yes early. Look for this to take between a week and a month to get resolved. If they're the only job open, why rush?"

Jim Kelly appreciates you; vows to do his part : Buffalo Sports Daily
"[Kelly] said off camera he’s been extremely busy but plans on calling Cowher, vowing to try and 'sell him on the upside of turning the Buffalo franchise around'."

Scott Pitoniak: Mark my words: McGwire still delusional
"If you connect the dots, Buddy Nix probably is hoping for a Schottenheimer father-son coaching combo. Nix would like to have Marty be the Bills head coach for the next year or two, then turn the reins over to Brian Schottenheimer, the Jets offensive coordinator, who will interview for the Buffalo head job in the near future."

Redskins hire Haslett | ProFootballTalk.com
"A league source tells us that former Bills linebacker (and possible HC candidate) Jim Haslett has been hired by the Redskins to serve as defensive coordinator under Mike Shanahan. It's unclear whether Haslett will use a 3-4 or a 4-3 defense in Washington. He once ran the 3-4 while serving as the Steelers' defensive coordinator. With the Saints and Rams (as well as the UFL's Florida Tuskers), Haslett used a base 4-3."

Come on Buffalo

Don’t leave Perry Fewell hanging. If you don’t want him as your next coach, just let him know. I hope he doesn’t lose out on the offer with the Bears, but I understand his loyalty and hopefulness.

Totally agree

No reason to string him along and cause him to miss out on another job….

Phil Simms’s comments are spot on. We need to be a physically tough team and we are so far from that on both sides of the ball.

I agree to a point. I think it helps most teams get over the hump. Look at how well the Bengals ran on the Jets, yet they got creamed. Without a passing attack, you’re doomed. Steven Jackson of the Rams could sure benefit from a good passing attack.
