PFT: Grimm will interview with the Bills
"Despite reports suggesting that Cardinals offensive line coach Russ Grimm could decline an opportunity to interview for the head-coaching job in Buffalo, it appears that Grimm will proceed."
"Per the Arizona Republic, the interview could happen on Wednesday or Thursday evening in Arizona, or possibly on Sunday, the day after the division-round game."
Hooray! It was getting depressing hearing all the reports that Grimm, B. Schotty, etc. weren't even willing to interview. It's in Grimm's best interest to interview even if he really isn't interested. But, here's hoping he's actually interested - of the "hot coordinators," he's my favorite.
Thoughts on Grimm?

Update: Russ Grimm tells the AP he'll speak to Bills about the HC job, but probably not until their postseason is over.

Brian Schottenheimer will interview.

Great News
This is good to hear…I was worried he would turn down the interview which would be very depressing add to the depression as Bills fans. I think Grimm is a very good candidate and I’m happy that we’ll be able to interview him. While I hope the bills do their due dilligence (which it appears they’re trying to do) it would become exceedingly difficult if current coordinators and position coaches were unwilling to interview.
I have heard a number of reports that Grimm is not that well-organized (a surprisingly important basic attribute for a HC) and that some NFL observers wonder how good he would be for that reason. There can be no question, though, that he would bring toughness and motivation to any team he coached. I guess he is in fourth place for me — behind Frazier, Schotty, Jr., and Harbaugh (who as Mark Gaughn keeps pointing out may very well have already interviewed as a “stealth” candidate). But I would nonetheless be very happy if we end up with Grimm.
The report that PFT links to says that no interview has been set. The only FACT at this point is that Arizona granted Buffalo permission to do the interview. Same with the Jets.
Neither Grimm nor Schottenheimer has an interview scheduled yet, and THAT is what is important. This is a non-story.

No interest on Buffalo’s part. Maybe that will change soon.

More I read about Grimm, the more I like him:

Having a guy who knows how to be successful in the trenches and to be tough is exactly what we need in Buffalo!!!
I would agree with the sentiment about building the trenches wholeheartedly, but let’s not confuse being an excellent position coach for being an exceptional head coach. Those skills can be very different. I respect the heck out of him, but I have now clue how Grimm would be in a HC role. For that matter, I don’t know how any of the other candidates (except Cowher) would be either.
