If/When you Change your Team, Who Would you Change it to?
Lets be honest here, the Buffalo Bills will probably not be in Buffalo once Ralph dies. As much as I hope them to stay, I really think its a long shot. Especially after this whole coaching search disaster. It is pretty evident that no one wants to be the Head Coach of the Buffalo Bills. For all we know, Frazier turned us down and we are stuck with Chan, and I really believe this is the case. What a embarrassing offseason for the Buffalo Bills and their fans. To be rejected by everyone, even a 2nd tier college coach.
No matter what you optimist say about Chan, you all know this is very disappointing since we went into this thing throwing names like Shannahan, Cowher and Gruden around. This team is not going anywhere under Chan and will most likely be moved out of Buffalo once Ralph and this new regime is done with, since this is probably our last regime we will see.
Since I heard this news tonight I immediately starting thinking if or who I would like if the Bills were no more. I always like the 49ers as a kid since they were fun to watch. Loved watching Jerry Rice. And now that I am older and am very committed to analyzing the drafts and free agency periods i just love what the Redskins do each year. They draft every guy I think is good and go after every free agent that every Bills fan dreams of getting (well maybe not everyone, but to add Albert would have been nice). I mean, they somehow spend over 150 mil on 3 players last offseason with a cap space less than ours. Somehow they do it every year. They also did what every other Bills fan was hoping for, bring in a good, well named coach in Mike Shannahan. These strategies may not have put them at elite level or hell even past our pathetic Bills, but let me say, its a lot more exciting to watch and at least they have a future and a new direction. We have a 91 year old owner ready to die, a 70 year old GM and a coach who has never proved anything in his career. I was really starting to like Frazier and after holding the cowboys to 3 points, you think that would have looked good to the Bills organization. But no, instead we are probably going to hire this schmeeb. If anyone in the Bills organization had half of a brain, Frazier is the better candidate than Chad and thats why I think Frazier rejected the Bills, there is just no other reason to hire Chad over him. The only other thing I could think of is that maybe the Bills want someone now since the offseason is fast approaching. And since Frazier might be coaching in the Super Bowl they just axed that idea. But I doubt it. Its not like they don't have scouts that are scouting these upcoming rookies.
Let me know what teams interest you or what teams you will or will not switch too once the Bills are no longer. I know this may be premature but I think I would feel lost without watching the NFL. I love the Bills and love football. I always said if the Bills moved or whatever I wouldn't watch anymore but the truth is that is probably not true. Its sad to think about but thats this is the first thing I thought about when I read that Chad was likely to become the next coach.
Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.

the bills will be my nfl love
and buffalo fan would tell you there is no other. if they move the franchise, i will follow it to wherever it goes. i also dont buy into the argument that they are moving no matter what. i see this post as a knee-jerk reaction to the chan gailey news. but if thats how some fans want to deal with it, by all means go ahead. but i will never root for another franchise besides the bills the way i currently do.

it would honestly be hard for me to root for the bills if they moved to LA. I don’t know why i love them, they do me wrong year in and year out. and yes this was my knee-jerk reaction to the gailey news, its just how i felt.
LA is a Long shot unless they get two teams
Roski’s business plan is not very sound he would incur so much debt building a stadium with no public money that he would HAVE to sell out every game at ridiculously hig prices PSL, tone of ads all over stuff like that the NFL probably wont approve it unless Califonria gets on board to pay for some of it and they have a 30 billion doallr deficit

Rochester Jeffersonians
Darryl Talley = 235
Shane Conlan = 235
Cornelius Bennet = 240
I can settle for smallish linebackers.

Whoever is on my fantasy team
I can’t root for any other NFL team. I’d rather follow hockey (yuck).

Now I truly know you are not from Western New York :)

P.S.
In my neighborhood in North Buffalo,
There are way many more die hard Sabres fans than Diehard Bills fans.

Why am I getting the feeling that I’m going to have to teach you a few things about hockey very shortly?

Because it's not on TV
so there’s no way anyone can learn about the sport?

I forgot how little converage the NHL gets in the US. I blame it on the NHL moving teams to markets that dont give a damn about hockey. I mean is there really a valid reason to have two hockey teams in Florida? Or having one in Pheonix or North Carolina. Or even worst in Nashville or Atlanta? None of those cities make sence for hockey.

i was in florida when they started there
and alot of people were behind them. same with atlanta. many people enjoy thrasher games. stereotypical though, just assuming the south doesnt like hockey. i just dont think alot of people like hockey no matter where you put the team.

dont leave
As a lifelong bills fan i can not see myself rooting for any other team. If they do move i am taking some time off of work to mourn. I will follow the bills unless they move to L.A.. If that happens then i am done. I live in Seattle and I would then have to become a seahawks fan but it would never be the same.
I’m going to be the first one to honestly say that I would not be a Bills fan if the team moved to another location. If they aren’t the “Buffalo Bills”, then a new name, even though it’s the same franchise, means nothing to me.
My father’s a lifelong Packers fan and always argued with my mom, who is a lifelong Bills fan and passed that down to me, for my fanhood. Because of that, I’ve always had a soft spot for Green Bay, obviously, as my second-favorite team and I’d have to become a cheesehead if the Bills were to move.
You know, it’s written into man law that changing allegiance is evil.

But there is one exception to the man law
Man law does indeed state, “Changing allegiance is evil”, but if you look at the fine print right after that, you come to the disclaimer “unless your team hires Chan Gailey as it’s next head coach. Then, by all means, feel free to root for another team.”

man law also says:
allegiance works both ways. if your team leaves you then its fair game.
I'd never give up on the Bills
As long as they are in Buffalo. I would also cheer for them if they were in Toronto, but thats about it.
After that, I’d just become a fan of the sport, with no favorite team in particular.

THE BILLs Wont leave Buffalo
the NFL is not gonna abandon a city that sells out in the midst of the worst econmic decline in 80 yrs and after no playoff apperences in a decade if this market isnt seen a s viable then call me a Jacksonville jaguars fan

Bill's No More
I hope it doesn’t happen, but it doesn’t seem impossible. I was born and raised in WNY and the Bills were a representation of the “hard working blue collar guy’s” style of football. It was a marraige made in heaven and like everyboy else I fell in love with the team and how it was are outlet. If they move they will cease to be my team. That said I think aloud who could replace the Bills as my favorite team. Answer is no one. There is no history with the other teams that I can relate to.When and if they leave I’ll watch the NFL just not with the same fervor I followed my Bills. There is but one Buffalo Bills team please don’t go!!!!
Go UB
I’ll follow the Bulls, and I think a lot of other people would start to as well if the Bills left. And of course, there’s always the Sabres, who look to be a very good team for a long time. Lindy Ruff and Darcy Regeir got it right, and they have the perfect mix of youth and experience, not to mention a rookie defenseman to build future teams around.
