Bills' youth well served by mature coaching staff : Buffalo Bills : The Buffalo News
"You may not have been elated when the Bills selected Chan Gailey as their new head coach, preferring a younger man with a resume of more recent vintage, but keep in mind that in Ralph Wilson's mind Gailey is a comparative youth. So now the Bills are what they are, a young team coached by what is likely to turn out to be a very senior staff. So what?"

Inside the NFL: Upgrading 4-3 defense easier than switching to 3-4 : Sports : The Buffalo News
"Buffalo Bills fans should be apprehensive about a move to a 3-4 defense. It's a hard transition to go from a Tony Dungy-style 4-3 defense to a 3-4 scheme. Kansas City struggled mightily in its transition this year." So why no Marty? One possibility that seems logical is the Chargers' ownership gave a less than flattering endorsement of him to Wilson. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones did give a strong endorsement of Chan Gailey to the Bills, according to sources in Dallas.

Buffalo Bills' playoff drought is embarrassing | Democrat and Chronicle
"Should the Buffalo Bills be more embarrassed about failing to make the playoffs for the past 10 seasons or failing to win a Super Bowl in 44 seasons? I'd say failing to make the playoffs since 1999 is worse. The NFL is designed to promote parity. It is difficult to miss qualifying for the playoffs 10 years in a row."

Wow, sad story about Cookie
In the history of the Buffalo Blls, if you had to name the five most taleted and fascinating players ever, certainly “Cookie” Gilchrist would be on that list. We never saw him in his prime, either. He was awesome……and more than half-crazy, which is why he gets “dissed” in so many places. However, to watch him play was something one never forgot!
Felser story is pretty good.
On a side note. And because there is no real place to ask this question.
Did anyone get the “History of the Buffalo Bills” DVD? I must say, amidst all that is happening with our team, I found it to be inspiring and entertaining. I think its an excellent purchase, especially if you’re feeling down on the Bills lately.
1. That DVD is awesome. This team has a very rich history.
2. Cookie and Lou Saban not being on the Wall of Fame is a travesty in of it’s self.

Wall of Fame
Totally agree.
Saban isn’t on it because Ralph can’t stop holding grudges (Saban quit after his second stint as head coach, and Wilson didn’t like that.) Don’t know about Gilchrist but Cookie (wherever he went) and management were always at odds.

I have that DVD, and it is great. I recommend it to everyone. Just being able to watch the “Hit heard around the World” in full speed makes it worth it.

I was at that game. The crowd roar was one of the largest I’ve ever heard.

Why would they air an Extreme Home Makeover show with the Bills during a championship matchup?

I thought the same exact thing. I would assume most people that watch that show don’t watch football. Just a thought.

I usually watch it with my wife. It’s the least I can do after I’ve made her "suffer’ a day of football. I watch entirely too much of the tube during football season.

Oh and I was at the Bills store yesterday and the guy working there said that he was told the league requires 15 months notice on any uniform change. So that means they’re not going to change out of their PJ’s anytime soon, i’d say.

15 months? Why would they need such a long notice? I guess they could propose the new uniforms anytime, and then make the official change after 15 months. We have no idea if the team is even considering a change, right? It sure would be an ideal time to do so. Maybe we should raise money for a billboard:→

Couldn't they just wear the throwbacks all the time?
Technically that wouldn’t be a change.
