"They're going to stay home for sure," he said. "If I decide to play, we'll try to figure out the best way to make it work because I'm not going to be away from them for four months. That isn't going to happen. So we'll see."
Those are Aaron Schobel's comments about his family staying home in Texas. The first and second part of those quotes make it very clear ... he's not coming back to Buffalo. I think he still wants to play, but he's only going to do that if he's close to his family. Obviously, he wants to work out a trade to Houston or Dallas. Schobel's always been a straight shooter. The Bills should try very hard to accomodate him and get something in return. I have no problem with a veteran player making this decision. He doesn't owe us a thing. He's been a good player for many years and if we can send him where he wants to go and get something in return that would be a win-win. Our best case would be a 2nd rounder, but I'd settle for a 3rd or a player.
