Jevan Snead is going pro
Had something of a dissapointing year statistically throwing 20 INTs, but is headed to the draft anyways. He completed 54.4% of his passes for 2,632 yards (7.5 yards per attempt and 13.8 yards per completion) and threw 20 TDs as Ole Miss went 9-4 overall and 4-4 in the SEC.
What do people think of him? Better or worse than Tebow? Pike? LeFevour? McCoy?

id say worse than tebow
he did much less in the same league. of course the argument of talent on the team will help with tebows numbers, but 20 ints is never a good sign. he seems like a 3-4 rounder.

It’s a joke that he came out. If he’s smart, he’ll stay agent-free for a week and re-consider.

Or maybe he can tell the future...
…with the possibility of no NFL in 2011. He won’t get paid that way…
Plus, if he has good workouts and interviews, he can end up being the 3rd QB drafted. Is it likely? I don’t know. I wouldn’t criticize the move just yet.
By the way, Ryan Mallett is going back to school, so that’s another guy he wouldn’t have to worry about going ahead of him….

"As the governor of Louisiana once said, the only way Chris Kelsay can lose his job is if he got caught in bed with a dead girl or a live boy."
so true
his stock was sooo much higher coming into the year and it really tanked with a big 4 INT game early in the season.
With all the QB’s coming out and expected to go in front of him, this is a ridiculous move IMO.
Agreed. Very foolish move
Even competing with Mallett and Locker next year, he should have stayed. Pending his play, and others (Christian Ponder, Terrelle Pryor, and others) he could have easily been the third QB selected and a high to mid-first round pick.
The only benefit here is to whoever picks him, potentially. Hypothetically, if he’s selected in the second or third round, and develops to or near his potential, then he’s a steal.
For him though, it’s a bad decision, as he’ll have to play well to go from his rookie contract to something better.
