First Overall Picks

So I was thinking today, what will happen if the Bills get the first overall pick?

Then that got my thinking, who/when have we had the first overall pick before?

I did some research and found this:

 1961: Ken Rice

1969: OJ Simpson - 11,362 yards, 4.7 ypc, 61 Rushing TDs

1972: Walt Patulski - 16.5 sacks * Rated 27th Biggest Draft Bust of All-Time by ESPN

1979: Tom Cousineau - Never Played for the Bills *Traded for 1983 First Round Pick from Cleveland

1985: Bruce Smith - 200 Sacks, 1,225 tackles, Hall of Fame

So I guess we've had mixed results when we've had the first overall pick.

Hopefully if or when we have the first pick we make the correct decision.
