I will purposely make this brief. I know there are a lot of posters on here who have said we dont need to go FRANCHISE QB with our top draft pick. It is looking like there is not going to be any top 5 OT's available and so I will concede that D-line is the next best place to look with a top pick. There have been several names tossed around as prospects. My question is this, how would you defend going D-line with a top pick considering that we will not get a better player than N. Suh of the Lions in this years draft, and our not quite 100% RG E. Wood (with some help) shut him down last week? Can a D-line dominant player be so easily neutralized? If so can you defend taking him so high in the draft?
I of coarse am for getting Luck with our top pick, but if he is not available then I am trying to decide weather I am for Locker or D-line. I hope you can give some good reasons to consider DEFENSE.
