We have moved to number two in the draft order after beating the Lions. This much is true, but if the Bills can keep losing or at least stay tied with wins with Carolina there is still a chance that we can win the tie breaker and pick a head of Carolina.

As most of you know when it comes to the draft two teams tied on W-L record hsvr the tie broken by the team with lower strength of schedule. Currently the Panthers opponents have a 46-36 W-L record, while the Bills opponents have a 50-33 W-L record. However if you take into account the entire season schedule for both teams based on current W-L records, the teams are tied at 83-62, so in reality we ARE tied as these games will be played.

Assuming we can keep losing and tie them (and that is a big IF right now), we need to route for their opponents to win and ours to lose. There are five common opponents that we both play that affect us both the same way so they can win o lose and it does not matter. Those teams are Cincinnati, Chicago, Baltimore, Cleveland, and Pittsburgh.

The teams that Carolina plays that we do not are the teams we need to root for victories. They are Giants, Tampa, New Orleans, San Francisco, St. Louis, Seattle, Atlanta, and Arizona.

The teams that we play that Carolina does not we need to root for losses. These teams are Miami, Green bay, New England, NY Jets, Jacksonville, Kansas City, Detroit, and Minnesota.

So there you have it. If we can remain tied in wins with Carolina we still have a realistic shot at the number one pick.
