lets grab VInce Young

Vince is playing very well, but Jeff Fisher insists in slow down this guy. He can develop like mike vick, and right now he´s a good winning qb. With him the Bills dont need to draft a qb, they can improve the d and contend soon. VY just needs a coach with trust in him, and give him confidence to play his strenghts. His only inssue righ now is his fumbles, but he can correct this easily. VY is a winner and can bring that to  Bills. Your thoughs guys.

Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.

hes quite the headcase. i remember saying this like 2 or 3 weeks ago, and someone said i was wrong. im not sure what else he has to do to be considered that. jeff fischer is a quality coach, and i really dont think he is wrong on VY. so my vote would be no. he doesnt have the talent and ability to take a chance on him like vick did.

fisher is not a good coach

he´s a 50 percent coach, never win a super bowl and dont win a playof game since 2003 i think, that said he´s a lucky coach who have a very patience owner in bud adams. And VY save his job twice, but every opportunity he have to bench VY he does that. VY have all the reason to do what he do and he have the skill set to suceed, he showed improvement year after year, and the fisher holds him down. If Bud adams is intelligent he fires fisher in the end of the season and keeps VY for the best of the titans, but if not, the Bills have the chance to make the right thing and sign him, or just pass on it like vick and draft a bust qb and continues to loss year after year.

by Fernando brazil on Nov 21, 2010 10:18 PM EST reply actions

What?

Sorry but even I also consider Vince Young a good one I think you are completely mistaken.
Fisher should be considered one of the best coaches ever.
Titans has done a lot of things despite they arguably have one of the worst Front Offices now.
Indeed he is always dealing with Bud Adams who is a kind of copy and paste of Ralph Wilson.
The only difference is that Mr. Adams shifted Fisher and Ralph shifted Mondrak…
On the other hand, I think Vince is going to be a FA.
The only thing Titans need is someone smart and complete like Fitz.
Just ask Gailey if he would like to deal with this kind of super speedy running QBs.

he´s a 50 percent coach

He’s actually 141-112 in the regular season and 5-6 in the postseason. I’m not sure I would call him a great coach, but I wouldn’t call him a bad coach. He had to take over a really bad Houston team after Moon retired, but he also had a great QB in Steve McNair for almost a decade.

SFC: Were you excited about Clausen dropping to the Bills pick? Or did you have a feeling that the Bills wouldn’t pick him anyway?
Galliford: Both, like when that hot chick waves at someone she knows standing behind you.

VY is not a good quarterback. He is not a good thrower and is a cry baby. He is the last thing we need in B-LO!

by adrew0314 on Nov 21, 2010 10:26 PM EST reply actions

WHAT?

Im flabbergasted. Absolutely flabbergasted. I havent even used the word flabbergasted in maybe a decade and a half and Im using it almost five times right now because Im so flabbergasted.

Vince Young = whiner, underachiever, headcase, no leadership, always hurt.
Ryan Fitzpatrick = doer, overachiever, focused, leader, gritty.

Vince stormed out of a locker room after being benched and hurt, way to fire up the troops.

Fitz has turned Roscoe Parrish, Steve Johnson and David Nelson into recognizable national names among football fans and has Lee Evans and is making our offensive line and WRs look better than they should.

Vince was a high draft pick who has done nothing to justify it.
Fitz was a 7th rounder who has forced his way into proving he belongs.

Flabbergasted.

I would have to say no as well

I understand the arguement you are trying to make. I think the thing that we all need to focus on with players like Vick, Young, Tebow and Newton are THEY might not be the type of QB/Leader of the offense that Gailey would like to build a team around. Honestly, I believe that Fitzpatrick, Brohm and even Levi Brown are THOSE types. Just my opinion.

Pass on Vince Young. He’s demonstrated an utter lack of maturity numerous times since he entered the league. What good is talent if the player can’t be counted on?

It can always get worse. Let me tell you how.

I just saw all your posts on the Titans blog. What are you a chameleon? Your on there saying “we need to fire Fisher” and your here saying “lets get VY”. In both your talking like you are one of “us”. So which is it? Are you a Titans fan or a Bills fan? Or are you Vince Young?

Are you freaking serious

We need players on our squad who are mature. Vince Young is a baby who cannot be trusted to run the Bills offense. We should simply draft a quarterback this next draft and have Fitz run the team the next year while we bring the new franchise quarterback along.

I’m rec’ing this post NOT for the statement itself, but for the effect on those of us that read it. I think this post should be required reading for EVERY Bills fan.

I think he’s a train wreck waiting to happen. Draft a serious prospect (ie- 1st two rounds) to develop and let him try to beat out Fitzpatrick over the next two years. Let some other team work to rehabilitate Young’s career.

Even as a backup?

I’d take him to be our 2nd string QB. If Fitz gets hurt I’d like someone with some experience and a decent Win loss record. Also I think Chan could do wonders with VY.

Maybe not to start right away but to groom. If he was willing to do that I don’t see why he shouldn’t be brought in.
