After his big game Sunday, Buffalo Bills cornerback Drayton Florence has been honored as the AFC Defensive Player of the Week.
Florence had a momentum-changing play in the third quarter of the Bills' 49-31 win over the Cincinnati Bengals, scooping up a Cedric Benson fumble and returning it for a touchdown. He posted three tackles, two pass breakups, and added an interception late in the game to seal the victory for the Bills.
Florence last won the award while a member of the San Diego Chargers in 2004.
Ryan Fitzpatrick made a strong case for Offensive POW honors with 316 yards and four touchdowns, but New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez earned the honor with his 315 yards and three scoring passes.
