Boy don't you love how these things play out. What I am about to put forth isn't set in stone, may not be reality, but has some "writing on the walls" if you will.
Over at our counterpart Die By The Blade there is a rumor circulating that Tom Golisano is attempting to sell the Sabres.
On paper this doesn't mean much to the Bills. However, if everyone remembers Jim Kelly saying he had backers that he wished not to be named that could get the job done. There are not many people in WNY that have the kind of money to keep the Bills in Buffalo, Tom Golisano does.
Back in 2008, Golisano said in this article at NFL.com:
I realize what the issue is. I think I realize how important that organization is to the Buffalo area," Golisano told The Associated Press. "And I'll say the same thing I've said before: If the situation arises, I would do what I can to try to keep the team in the area."
Also in the article he says:
I've talked to all kinds of people, and I'm not going to say anything beyond that
Obviously this is premature but the wheels maybe in motion for a successor to the Bills. Golisano has the cash, he could be the guy to keep the Bills in Buffalo.
Stay tuned folks - Ralph might have a trick or 2 up his sleeve that we don't know about yet!
