Since Fitzpatrick seems to be doing really well in the Gailey offense the idea of passing on Andrew Luck come to mind. I know that the quarterback position on the Bills has been in flux since Jim Kelly and I think Luck would help us but the Bills have more pressing needs on the defensive side of the ball.
I think we should draft Adrian Clayborn from Iowa. He is the highest rated DE in this draft and we could be justified in picking him #1 overall. In looking at various mock draft sites it looks like Ryan Mallet could be available in the beginning of the 2nd round. Clayborn and Mallet would be two solid picks to start 2011. If OBD did go this way I would use the Carson Palmer plan with Mallet. Keep Mallet on the bench for the season so he can really get a grasp of the offense. Let Fitz run the show for 2011 and have Mallet ready to go in 2012. I know we are in a "win now" league and I do not see Mallet as totally NFL ready. I do not see Luck coming in a lighting things up his first year in the league either.
The rest of our draft I see us getting as many player with "big hearts and high motors" as possible ( See Kyle Williams). Your thoughts
