As expected, it appears that Buffalo Bills linebacker Andra Davis will not be available for the team's Week 9 matchup with the Chicago Bears in Toronto. That might just be the start of Davis' road to recovery, however, as he might be on the verge of missing significant time, according to head coach Chan Gailey.
Though Gailey called the linebacker doubtful for Sunday, NFL.com lists him as out.
NFL.com also lists cornerback Terrence McGee as probable, but Gailey told reporters after practice Friday that despite three consecutive days of full participation in practice, McGee will be a game-time decision in Toronto. Chris Brown of BuffaloBills.com also predicts that if McGee is able to play, he'll do so in a sub-package capacity, with Leodis McKelvin retaining his starting position for at least one more week.
Gailey also confirmed to BuffaloBills.com that the current plan is to platoon Cordaro Howard and Mansfield Wrotto at right tackle, with Howard set to start for a third straight week. Howard is listed as probable by NFL.com after missing practice Wednesday, as are fellow starting linemen Demetrius Bell and Eric Wood.
Special teams ace Donald Jones is also listed as probable with a knee injury.
