If Im remembering this correctly...
Backup running back Quinton Ganther was fined $5,000 for hitting Vikings punter Chris Kluwe.
This is complete BS. I hope Im not confusing this with another game last weekend… but wasnt this a legit hit? I think he was penalized for the hit… but it certainly looked fine to me. And Kluwe isnt a QB so I dont know why they would protect him :-p

Agreed

I really didn’t understand that one either. It was well after the kick, Kluwe was watching the punt unfold and he gave him a little bump from the front. I guess the NFL missed the obvious late hit OB on I want to say Stevie, but could be wrong. He was pushed OB by a defender and another one hit him at least 3 steps out

It was during the play, the punter was kinda jogging down the field, and Ganther runs up in front of him to knock him over. Completely legit. Flagged and fined.

Ok then thats what I was thinking of...
Cant believe they fined him. It wasnt a dirty hit at all… and he didnt absolutely blast him. He gave him a nice, clean shot. You cant argue a penalty… but to fine him? Thats rediculous.
Lets Go Buff a lo!!!
Total BS
It shouldn’t have even been a penalty. The punter was jogging down field and could have been involved in a tackle if the returner had broken free. It was a legal hit on a player that was running down field. If you’re going to call a penalty for hitting the punter when they’re jogging downfield to potentially get in on a tackle, then they probably shouldn’t be allowed to be in on a tackle….

well I didn’t see the play – but let me play devils advocate.
I know the NFL changed some rule that if you are not directly involved in a play that you can’t just lay a guy out…. I know that happened this year so maybe that was the situation?

Love this quote Tim Graham's blog.
Sunday should be Chan Gailey’s first game with Buffalo in its infamous wintery conditions. “I don’t know that I’d say I look forward to it, but I know it’s going to happen,” Gailey said. “You’ve got to choose to make it a home-field advantage. You can gripe and complain, or you can get excited about the opportunity.”
Bills players got to own it.

Maybe Gailey should talk to Jay Cutler and tell him to quit bitching about the weather.

Cutler didn't complain about the weather
He complained about the terrible field they play on.

"As the governor of Louisiana once said, the only way Chris Kelsay can lose his job is if he got caught in bed with a dead girl or a live boy."
And he sure seems to be right based on the Soldier Field GM's response
The guy basically told Cutler he’s wrong and that the weather they’ll see Sunday should be expected this time of the year even though Cutler didn’t say anything about the weather. The guy totally avoided the complaint about field conditions while bringing up some cookie cutter weather issue. In the Sun-Times article he also mentioned both teams will be playing on an equal(ly poor) playing field and they do the best they can. Pretty obvious that the field is in poor condition….

What about BenJarvus or Westbrook?
Taking in account that BJ is at Chicago…

I’d go Westbrook. The pats are going to be throwing all day long in those conditions. Also taking into consideration Chicago’s got the second best run defense of the league, I doubt the Pats will be running much. Go with Westbrook.

The NFL is to "fine Happy" these days.
And they fail to realize that players aren’t going to get serious about illigal hits until suspensions are handed out. That’s not to say that Levitre or Ganther deserved one… they didn’t didn’t… but some players have deserved multiple suspensions this year. caugh James Harrison caugh caugh

bulldogg from wgr is the most irritating character… somebody should tell him he is worthless in life… if he goes to any restaurant, he should not be served….
i cant remember another radio show host who is more unintelligent in his comments…. and i dont know why idiot fans call in to the show just to get insulted by illiterates… if you dont agree with them they laugh at you instead of debating…. if you agree with them they start countering their own point!!!!
i hope the fans just stop calling in…. a decline in calls will show how poorly received the show is
