Fantasy QB Advice Please
Hey fellow Bills fans, this is my first post on here, though I have been an avid reader since about March earlier this year. I know, not the longest tenure but I read up every day, shout out to all the people who do post on here consistently thank you for the great reads. Anyways, so I have a bit of an issue at Quarterback this week due to Aaron Rodgers being concussed and could use some advice from everyone around here, as you all know it is Fantasy playoffs and I would love to make it to the championship game by winning this upcoming Sunday. Details about the 2 QB options I have remaining after the jump.
Kerry Collins - Going up against one of the weakest secondaries in Football in the Houston Texans. Threw very well against a weak Colts secondary last week (3TDs, 244Yds, 0Int = 27 points in my league). However one concern I do have is the fact that I also have Arian Foster and Andre Johnson of the Texans on my team and I am just not a fan of having a lot of players on my fantasy team going up against one another because if one is dominating, the other is off the field doing nothing, but it is not a major concern.and of course the second option, our very own
Ryan Fitzpatrick - growing perhaps one of the most amazing beards in sports history is worthy of a fantasy start. Our beloved Fitzy has been playing alright as of late (past three games in particular) but has not been spectacular. He is going up against a very respectable Dolphins defense, and with their pass rush seemingly unstoppable I worry he won't have the chance to perform as well as Collins will against the Texans. Also, the emergence of the Bills running attack in Freddy and Spiller (to a lesser degree) worries me from a Fantasy standpoint.
So what do you think guys, our beloved Fitzy or Kerry Collins? (poll follows, comments would be appreciated)
Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.

Riskyyyy
not that my other two options aren’t, but it is hard to put the fantasy playoffs on the line with a pretty recent 3rd stringer
im playing webb as a

me too
Kinda risky but I took out Mason from the Ravens and put in Webb…that Saints Pass D can be stingy…GO BILLS!
Someone may need to get Edwards the P90x box set.

Tim Tebow!
Haha no.
What other options are there for you to pick up? Jon Kitna? Josh Freeman? If I had to choose between those two I would go with Kerry Collins. The Texans are great at giving up fantasy points to the quarterback. And with Kenny Britt back he’ll produce better.

Others available include
Jason Campbell who I considered picking up, but he only really had one good game recently. He is going up against one of the weaker defenses in Denver, but I just have more faith in Collins vs the Texans. Other than that there is only Matt Hasselback (8INTs 3 games, not a fan, + the Seahawks aren’t exactly an offensive powerhouse as of late), Drew Stanton, Matt Flynn, and after that really not much, Joe Webb as dav630 mentioned is still available, but like I said, hard to put faith in a recent 3rd stringer right?
Wow. Pickin's are slim for you on the waiver wire.
On paper, Collins SHOULD have the better day. But the Titans are collapsing internally and Collins is very, very streaky. Feast or famine. I wouldn’t do it.
Old reliable Fitz will get you some points. Not 40, but some points. Go with him.

Someone in my league.
Got hit with the Rodgers concussion going into the playoffs.
They have Collins too as well as Kitna. Fitz is on an eliminated team.
I would go Collins, I expect our game with Miami will be close, so we won’t have to throw it all the time.
I expect the Titans to fall behind early, so Collins will have to throw. The Houston secondary is not good, so I expect lots of garbage time yards like Fitz got in some of his big fantasy games that resulted in losses.
Collins all the way.
