I, like a lot of Buffalo Bills’ Fans, own Fast Freddy Jackson and Stevie Touchdown Johnson in a fantasy league. I am headed to the playoffs now, and I will admit that, without my week 4 (Freddy) and week 5 (Stevie) waiver acquisitions, I wouldn’t have made it.
However, the list of, “bad things man” that happened to the Buffalo Bills and/or their fantasy owners over the last two weeks is getting long….. a rebuilt offensive line, a rebuilt defensive front-seven (can the D get off the field?) – And there's Stevie Johnson’s psychic collapse and lastly, C.J. Spiller’s return to health.
When I add to that list the history of the last few horribly inept Bills-Browns games, I real start to question if it’s time to drop my golden eggs for other similar players.
My alternative players for this week would be Jonathon Stewart, Carolina and Anquan Boldin, Baltimore.
Stewart has returned to health and has come on the last two weeks. He clearly is the main RB this week as he gets Atlanta at home.
Bolden, with a shaky Flacco most of the season, has mostly under-produced. He had a very good game last week and faces the worst secondary in the NFL at Houston this week. You couldn’t ask for a better matchup but his number of targets are well below Stevie Johnson’s and he has not put back-to-back games together all-season. I really like Anquan Boldin and I can’t come to grips with his under-production.
Anyway, I can’t decide what to do, and I figure there must be a lot of other Bills' fans in the same boat. This got me thinking it would be fun to take a poll and read some comments….
