Specialization the focus for Bills strength and conditioning
"The two will base their focus on separate areas of the team. Gamble, the former No. 1-ranked weightlifter in the world (1981-’83, 275 pounds), will work mostly on the conditioning of Buffalo’s offensive and defensive lines. Ciano’s responsibilities include working with the defensive backs, backfield and receiving corps. Gailey expects the duo to share duties for the rest of the squad."

Four big questions in the AFC East - AFC East Blog - ESPN
"For those who think Marcus Stroud can be Buffalo's nose tackle, keep in mind he's 6-foot-6. Schatz notes that might be too tall. But the defensive switch should help sophomore pass-rusher Aaron Maybin."
Free Agent Files: Steelers DE Nick Eason : Buffalo Sports Daily
"To say Eason isn’t a sexy free agent choice would be an understatement. But Eason is a player that can bring great value and experience to Buffalo, and I suspect strongly those are things Chan Gailey and George Edwards are looking for in new defensive players for the 3-4 switch."
Scott Pitoniak: SU Hoops in a funk, but should be OK
"I'm thinking the best the Bills can do is a third-rounder for Marshawn Lynch, given all the baggage he's carrying. And even that might be optimistic on my part."
Time to put Lynch on the trading block? | National Football Post
"And that’s the real story here. Jackson was more productive than Lynch in 2009, and I expect that to continue in 2010. He’ll see more touches and will be more involved in the game plan. Now is the time when Lynch may have his best value."

Kiper on QB vs. OT – Inside The Bills
"In the case of a player like Clausen or Bradford, I would take the quarterback first. I have Clausen and Bradford rated higher than Davis and Okung. So I would go the quarterback first, then try to get the offensive tackle in the second round and hope that a Bruce Campbell or a Bulaga or somebody like that fell down to me."
BillBoard: Kiper: Okung to Bills at No. 9
"In Mel Kiper's first mock draft in January, he had the Bills taking Notre Dame quarterback Jimmy Clausen with the ninth overall pick. But in his current projection on ESPN.com he has Oklahoma State left tackle Russell Okung falling to the Bills."

Draft Watch: AFC East - AFC East Blog - ESPN
"The Bills had craters to fill on both sides of scrimmage before new coach Chan Gailey came aboard and decided to switch to a 3-4 defense. But where the Bills really need to upgrade is at offensive tackle and quarterback for an offense that has rated 30th, 25th, 30th, 30th, 28th, 25th and 30th the past seven seasons."

OchoCinco said he’s going to take a pay cut to make it happen.
He also said he would change his name back to Chad Johnson instead of two numbers that don’t mean eighty-five. So…..I have a feeling he’s just kidding on that one after compaining for a new contract a few years back.

If three teams put in waiver claims on Fine I wonder if a 7th rounder couldn’t have been extracted for him.
Right? They were both scooped up pretty darn fast. And with 3 teams, including Jax who wasnt that bad of a team, seems like we might have been able to steal a 6th or 7th from them.
"Hey ey ey ey"
The Rams would not have offered anything since they knew they would get the waiver claim if he was cut. The Browns may have felt that way, too, not knowing about the Rams. The Jaguars would have had to part with a 7th rounder, minimum, to make it happen. I don’t know if it’s worth getting irritated about.

Well, if the Rams thought another team was willing to trade for him and they still wanted to get Fine maybe they would have traded a pick to assure that.
Not anything to get worked up over, but you hope they called (e-mailed?) around about it and no one was willing to give up a pick.
Updated: Derek Fine and Ashlee Palmer both claimed off waivers. Fine is going to the Rams while Palmer is headed to the Lions.
