Cowher talks about his Buffalo talks
"I have tremendous respect for Buffalo," Cowher told Tim Graham of ESPN.com. "We had some talks. It didn't really go that far. I couldn't make the commitment. I have tremendous respect for [Bills owner] Ralph Wilson. I think it's a tremendous fan base. I think it's a golden opportunity for Chan Gailey.
"It just wasn't the right time and place. I pretty much go with a gut feel when I make decisions like that. I think it through, but there was nothing specific. It's a class organization."

Well, everyone who thought Cowher wants to get back into coaching is wrong.....clearly he is preparing for a career in politics
If we end up with Vick, T.O., Richie I., and Porter….that is really pushing the dbag density limit for one team.

I Take back my Bill Coward comments on previous posts.
While he is playing politician, This is what I wanted to hear him say publicly. I am satisfied now.
There's not a wide receiver who is fast enough, that J.P. Losman can't overthrow him on a fly pattern.

When you are a rockstar... you get to choose your own band.
At least we tried to get him and the Rat.
OBD gave the effort, but nobody loves us.

I wanted the guy to be our coach. His gut told him not to come, nothing wrong with that. I thought the guy showed some class in this article.
Sometimes you want something so bad that when it doesn’t happen it can be deflating. But then sometimes the thing you wanted would have stopped the right thing from happening. For some reason my gut is telling me Chan is going to make us proud.
Cowher's "gut feeling"
was his brain telling him, “This is not the organization to work for.”
you know what?
Cowher is a good guy, and i have nothing but respect for him. He has no reason to risk his legacy or his own happiness trying to save a hapless organization he has no connection to. Good for him for being such a gentleman in referring to us.

I know this question will color me as a blog virgin but what the hell does “rec” mean?

that you recomend to read the article or post
"Hold ya chin up...nuh nuh nuh...gone" -Marshawn Lynch-
If you get enough rec’s the comment turns green like Joe’s above or the fanpost or fanshot gets stuck to the top of the column on the right like Eric’s “Bills do it backwards”.

Cowher showed nothing but class
He could’ve very easily said that he wanted nothing to do with this train wreck known as the Bills. I would have loved to have him, but I’m also ok with Chan. He wants to be here, so let’s see what he can do.
Why do today, when it can wait til tomorrow; the games on!

Speaking of that
I sure hope SBN further integrates it’s mobile capabilities. I’m longing for the day when I can use the “Z” feature on my phone. It’d be nice to utilize the rec function and read fanshots too!

oh man!

so many long train rides which that would make so much more bareable.
Does the fact that we want more features on our mobile phones for Rumblings reading mean we spend too much time on here?

Meanwhile, Buffalo's former head coach lands a DB coaching job in Philly.
It can always get worse. Let me tell you how.
I, for one, appreciate Cowher at least giving the appearance of taking the Bills job seriously.
Even if he really didn’t. It was one a the few points in the Bills post-season circus that didn’t make the organization look like a dysfunctional joke.

What a classy guy.
I have always had tons of respect for the man, but this definitely just increased it.
Thanks for the offer..........
but that place is a hot mess that I want no part of…………….
Thats what I heard.
Yeah, I just stare at my desk, but it looks like I'm working. I do that for probably another hour after lunch too, I'd say in a given week I probably only do about fifteen minutes of real, actual, work. - Peter Gibbons

exactly why Joes comment is so rec'able
This is exactly how a politician paints a hot mess.

Good to see and he’d better give this terrific fanbase some credit, especially when you consider how much we all wanted him. Of course, we all know this organisation is far from class, but I bet Ralph loves this
"The one commonality in both places (Oakland and Buffalo) is an aging owner who keeps interfering too much. Ralph Wilson continually butts his nose in the football operation and tells the team who to draft"

I'm shocked at the amount of love tha Cohwer is getting here.
Yeah sure he was classy, but in the end all he’s saying is, not Carolina, not 2011. To me all I got from this article is that he never truly considered the Bills as a legitimate place for him to work. And i truly mean that I think he didn’t even give us a econd though.
Sure he might be talking with a silver tuge, but that doesn’t mean that what he’s saying isn’t a bunch of BS.
