Sal Pal on Mike and Mike
ESPN's Sal Palantonio was on with Mike and Mike this morning. The discussion centered around the Eagles QB situation, and the Bills were mentioned. Sal believes that the Eagles may pay the $1.5 million roster bonus, to show potential trade partners that they are serious about Vick.
He mentioned that St. Louis and Buffalo are the two teams that have shown an interest in Vick. He also mentioned that the Eagles might not be willing to cut Vick, or trade him for a 6th or 7th rounder, because it wouldn't be worth all of the bad press they took last year for signing Vick. I don't think any of this is ridiculously new info, but thought it was worth sharing.
Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.

Thurman Thomas was just on with Mike and Mike. He said that he doesn’t think Vick would be a good idea for Buffalo. He was very complimentary of Chan Gailey, and especially Buddy Nix. He referred to him as “an older Bill Polian”. I also liked that Thurman gave props to Kenneth Davis.
Yes, but to be fair, he predicted a 9-7 finish as well. He wants a job at OBD BAD!!!

The Eagles have turned on the smoke machine. It is very doubtful all three Eagles QBs will remain on the team
They are just trying to get all they can out of the eventual Vick trade.
A married man should forget his mistakes. There's no use in two people remembering the same thing!
Agreed
If they trade him before March 5, they will likely get a 6th or 7th round pick. I guess it may be worth $1.5 million to hold out for more compensation.

Why not give them a 5th for Vick and let him make plays with his legs behind our shotty o-line for a couple of years, while we groom our o-line and next qb?
Does he still have his legs?
That was a question that Sal mentioned this morning. Not sure if he still has that type of ability.

I thought that was the one aspect of Vick’s game everyone said had deteriorated most.

Well, apparently most teams thought he did. He ran the wildcat pretty exclusively last year. My concern would be the mental part. He wasn’t a QB last year, he was a running back who sometimes threw. Knowing when to tuck it and run is a concern. Reading defenses, etc. I definately wouldn’t go higher than a 5th…I’d consider a fifth though.

A 5th?
I’d maybe give our 7th rounder for him.
New decade, New GM, New Coach, Jimmy Clausen? Could the ineptitude end?
