Dear Buddy,

Thank you for coming to Buffalo.You seem like a good and respectable man.The time is now for great things to happen.We need talent now.We do not need projects or to give Trent Edwards another chance.Buffalo fans are sick of people doing things that don't make sense.This is a city that desperately needs and wants to win.We want talent now.Convince Ralph that the time is now and to loosen up his bank roll.Bring the attitude of winning back to Buffalo.

Ralph could choose to spend all the money in the world but it isn’t going to magically create a decent free agent franchise quarterback. There just aren’t any available this year unless you consider Chad Pennington or Daunte Culpepper franchise QB’s at this point in their career.

Realistically we have four choices.
1. Rookie project
2. Someone already on the roster
3. Mediocre stop gap free agent QB nearing the end of their career
4. Trade

A trade isn’t likely to happen unless you want Vick so it’s either a project or a mediocre stop gap. That is the reality of the situation going into next year. Has nothing to do with how much Ralph is willing to spend.

Why not? I say we spend our first two picks on tackles to finally protect Edwards’ hind parts. We were all on his bad wagon when he played well, and he did play well in stretches. I wonder what he produces behind an NFL caliber line, and decent coaching?

Jauron, AVP, the OL, and OBD for screwing up the OL depth, and TO all contributed big time to the fiasco. Edwards deserves to have chance to silence critics.
The putrid offense was not 100% his fault.

Poor Edwards is shell shocked ! Every QB has had to run for there life , Id give the three Qbs a chance and work on the line, atleast for this yr, Any of the great qbs would have a heck of a time playing great with this line.

I sure don't.

If we take Clausen instead of an OT at 9, he won’t look any better than Trent, maybe even worse after a concussion or two, especially with Butler retiring.

There's not a wide receiver who is fast enough, that J.P. Losman can't overthrow him on a fly pattern.
