Anyone an ESPN Insider? Lynch for a 4th?
I know these are usually just rumors and nothing else - but just would like to know what the article says is all....

I don't care what is says
Giving him up for a 4th to anyone is a ridiculous deal. He’s at least worth a 3rd and one of those little green dudes, I mean orange dudes from Willy Wonka.
In a league where Thomas Jones runs for the most yards and TDs of his career, gets cut by his employer, and can only latch on with the hapless Chiefs, I doubt you see anyone giving the Bills much for a RB that barely produced when called up on in 2009.
Is he better than 2009 showed us? Absolutely. I think his value is greatest as a player in Buffalo, not a trade partner.

I have to agree with most of what you say here. I think, as is the norm, that most fans are completely overrating the value of the players on this team.
No weekend spent pantsless is a wasted weekend.
Apparently, so is the accounting department. I saw that the team was 12th in payroll in 2009.
Per Bob Matthew’s Sports Exchange email:
Ralph is no miser..but too much money not well spent
Buffalo Bills owner Ralph Wilson isn’t a tightwad when it comes to paying his players, but too much of the payroll has been money wasted in the past decade. The annual USA Today salary survey was released Tuesday and the team’s 10-year playoff drought are proof of that.
According to the USA survey, Buffalo ranked 12th out of the NFL’s 32 teams in 2009 with a player payroll of $111,253,126. The numbers include compensation earned as salary and bonuses but do not include deferred payments or incentives earned during the season.
The 11 teams with higher player payrolls than Buffalo: New York Giants ($138,354,866); Miami; Houston; Super Bowl XLIV champion New Orleans ($121,552,424); Chicago; New York Jets; Pittsburgh; Green Bay; Tennessee; Carolina; and Oakland.
The 20 teams behind Buffalo: Arizona; Baltimore; Jacksonville; Philadelphia; San Francisco; Indianapolis ($103,360,905); Denver; Washington; Detroit; Minnesota; St. Louis; San Diego; New England ($96,913,133); Atlanta; Cleveland ($93,932,182); Cincinnati; Dallas ($90,340,939); Seattle; Tampa Bay; and Kansas City ($81,829,650).
Seven Bills made at least $5 million: Lee Evans $9,002,600; Aaron Schobel $6,997,761; Marcus Stroud $6,502,080; Terrence McGee $6,375,000; Terrell Owens $6,250,000; Leodis McKelvin $6,243,330; and Geoff Hangartner $5,000,000.
Quarterbacks: Trent Edwards $465,200; Ryan Fitzpatrick $2,995,500.
Rookie first-round draft pick Aaron Maybin made (but didn’t quite earn) $3,450,000 — 9th-most on the team.

Here's what the post said
“As we try to figure out what the Buffalo Bills will do at QB for next season, another major question remains at running back. Marshawn Lynch had his worst season as a pro in 2009 while Fred Jackson emerged as a viable alternative. With that in mind, Bob Matthews of the Democrat and Chronicle had a bold suggestion: trade Marshawn to the San Diego Chargers.
Matthews’ reasoning is fairly sound: the Chargers need a workhorse RB, the Bills have an extra one. In comments to the press at the combine last Thursday, Bills head coach Chan Gailey did not dismiss the trade rumors at all, in AFC East blogger Tim Graham’s opinion.
Still, as Graham noted in his column Tuesday, the Bills can’t expect to get much more than a fourth-round pick in trade, given Lynch’s long list of off-field transgressions and lack of production on the field. At this point though, Graham argues, Lynch is likely a player without whom the Bills would be better."

no way, not even if he stole a $20 from Goodell himself.

Im sure the Chargers would
And throw in a late round 2011 conditional.
Problem is we just traded a corner that was an off field headache so it wont happen. I understand the herb and the glock, thats why glove compartment locked in my old truck. I can ever get past running over some drunk girl, then taking off. I dont know what I would have done. But Lynch allegedly jacking a young women for 20 bucks puts him out of the Chargers reach unfortunately cause his skill set would be perfect here.
What no one has mentioned here is the Lynch is under contract for like 3 more seasons at around 1mil per.
Cheap, young, and low risk high reward. You should get a least a solid third for that I would think.
Nope, not enough. I`d rather keep him at that price.
The fact is that Lynch is worth more toour team than a 4th rounder, even if he screws up and gets suspended. Unless we get a third rounder we should keep him.
The more I see, the less I know.

How about Lynch for Quinn?

Hmmm… I’d consider it, but I think Lynch is better than Quinn. So how about Lynch and a 4th for Quinn and a 3rd? Or something along those lines.
The more I see, the less I know.
