1st round LT possibilities
I've been reading over some mocks and have seen 3 LT's who have been drafted to the Bills, i have an idea who of the 3 I want but would like to know who YOU want.
The LT's follow as:
Anthony Davis- 6'6 330 pounds. Davis is the biggest of the 3 T's and is great with the run and can move rushers during the pass as well. I believe he could boom or bust, hopefully if the Bills draft him and he booms instead of bust like (gulp)...Mike Williams
Brian Bulaga- 6'6 304 pounds- He's very complete and advanced for his age, he's a lock to be a solid LT but can he become the pro-bowler that Davis can be? That's what makes it so tough we can take the sure thing or the possible next great LT.
Trent Williams- 6'5 309 pounds- My least favorite of these 3 by far, i've seen him drafted to the Bills though so i have to have him on here. Decent rush protection, with good athletism. I would be dissapointed if we draft him.
If Russell Okung is available at #9(which i doubt) he's the clear cut favorite to be selected
There aren't many great LT's that will be available 2nd round so 1st round or trading up to the 1st round with our 2nd rounder+ might happen
Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.

Too much for a team that has as many holes as we do.
The more I see, the less I know.

Bulaga Please
He’s the most complete and the biggest “sure bet” at LT in this class. He also screams of consistency. I don’t care if we have a pro-bowl LT or not, as long as we have a consistently very good LT. I think Bulaga is that man.
Trent Williams has many of the same traits as Bulaga, just not as awell rounded yet.
I wouldn’t touch Davis with a ten foot pole. If the man can’t even bother to show up for his own pro day then why should we bother putting any effort into developing him?
The more I see, the less I know.

My biggest worry about Bulaga.
Is that KC or Seattle snatches him up before he gets to where we can pick him.
There's not a wide receiver who is fast enough, that J.P. Losman can't overthrow him on a fly pattern.

In that case Okung or Trent Williams would be very nice consolation prizes. Honestly as long as we don’t draft Davis i"ll be fine.
The more I see, the less I know.

I agree.
My biggest fear is Okung and Bulaga are off the board.
I’m not completely sold on Either Williams.

I’m doubting that Bulaga goes to KC #5, that seems like a big reach. If KC grabs Bulaga that means they passed on either maybe Okung or Berry

I definitely think.
There is no way Berry goes top 5.
I can’t remember a safety drafted in the top 5, can you?
Teams just never take a safety that high.

Actually.
I do remember 1 Eric Turner and that was almost 20 years ago, I think he was the last one.

20 years ago, I remember Eric played at Ventura High in Ca. Was sorry to hear of his passing. I now feel old. :)

Um Sean Taylor went 4.
Their a very few that go top-5, I think Bernie Blades went 3rd

Berry is something special

That may well be true, it’s just that it is very rare for a safety to go top 5.

Okung will go #2 to the Lions
A married man should forget his mistakes. There's no use in two people remembering the same thing!
I SINCERELY doubt that, Joe, and here’s why.
Last year, Detroit had the #20 pick in the first round. They’d gotten their franchise signal-caller in Stafford. One Michael Oher was available.
They took Brandon Pettigrew.
Jim Schwartz is ultimately the guy calling personnel shots in Detroit, and he is VERY much a talent-based evaluator. Scott Pioli is not. To each their own – both do good work – but I firmly believe that if Bradford goes #1, Suh will be Detroit’s pick, and they’ll sprint the card to the podium in the process.

And it would be a good pick, but
given the fact that Detroit has filled some of that need in FA, I would say that LT is a bigger need. Maybe they will wait until the 2nd round, but if you were paying Matt S. that kind of money would you wait?

I would say that LT is a bigger need.
That was my whole point, Joe – the Lions and Schwartz are NOT need-based drafters.

everyone is a needs based drafter......BPA is a myth
How do you determine that Suh is a better player than Okung? Hell, they can’t decide whether Suh is better than McCoy and they play the same position.
A married man should forget his mistakes. There's no use in two people remembering the same thing!
Suh and McCoy are both better than Okung. That makes it a little easier to evaluate, eh?
BPA is not a myth, it’s just not practiced very often. And I didn’t say the Lions were BPA-based drafters, did I?

How do you determine Suh is better than Okung?
And if the Lions aren’t need based drafters and they are not BPA based drafters, then they are a mix of the two just like everyone else. Therefore, the Lions could very well have Okung rated higher than Suh on their board because their biggest need is a LT.
And drafting purely BPA is a myth because nobody can agree on who the BPA is 99.9% of the time. Mario vs Bush, Long vs Long, Suh vs McCoy …… the list goes on and on.
A married man should forget his mistakes. There's no use in two people remembering the same thing!
but DT is also a huge need for them and they keep swearin up and down that they are ok with their guy now, so unless that was some elaborate smokescreen which accomplishes nothing, they will take Suh or McCoy.
we the FANS the VOICE the PEOPLE the true BLOOD of the Buffalo BILLS are just doing all this SO mAYBE just MAYbe the Coach THE teAM will just see how us the FANS the the SPARTAN aka BUFARTAN we will not Surrender to know onE.

but they also have said that they want to trade out of #2
All I know is that they signed Williams, which makes DT less of a need and nobody wants a Gandy clone as their LT.

Not showing up for your pro day is big and then finally coming and not weighing in?

Yeah but he actually showed up! He was overweight, but that was his only issue! Davis is REALLY overweight, doesn’t work in the offseason and doesn’t even bother to show up to his own pro-day. Davis is a lot worst off than Smith was.
The more I see, the less I know.

Wow, I’m in the vast minority here – I’d much rather have Davis than Bulaga. Lower ceiling for Bulaga and short arms. He’s a good scrapper, but Davis could be downright dominant – which I do not see from Bulaga.
Anyway, I guess I’ll accept I’m in the minority on this one – funny though how no-one liked Bulaga until about 6 weeks ago, then before he combine even everyone here had him rush up the boards – based on what I wonder ? A couple of guys mentioned him – then boom he’s the next big thing.
"Fan ?" You want to talk about being a fan of the Bills ? Try getting up at 3 AM every Monday to watch their games knowing they'll likely lose. Do this for 18 years and then call yourself a "fan"
people like bulaga because of his attitude and work ethic
which is also why people dont want davis. dude doesnt even show up to his own pro day…

i always like bulaga
mainly cuz i thought he would be a 15-ish pick, so my thinking was the bills could drop down a few grab another pick and also draft a pretty good LT. im sad hes jumping up the draft boards….
