this pick might surprise people but he has first round talent and small school fame
6'6 311 35.5 inch arms a quality pick by buffalo and projected starting left tackle

phillip will make a great addition to buffalo he's big 6'0 242 fast runs a 4.64

he's 6'7 299 and runs in the 4.8s once he gets adjusted to the pros i feel sorry for any olineman going against him

Tremendous size and strength. 6'2 265 Decent speed. Big hitter, physical player who enjoys contact.
ladys and gents are stack and shed linebacker

You do know
That Tony Washington has had a problem with incest right? Just saying, seems like there might be a few issues there.
I kind of feel bad for the kid
It’s pretty obvious he had a f’ed up upbringing. From what I’ve read about him, he seems extremely sincere and knows he made a terrible mistake. He’s worked hard to get where he is now, and as a registered sex offender, has had to walk the straight and narrow more than most. His coaches and teammates all seem to go to bat for him, as well….

dude was 16, his sister was 15 and it was an apparently consensual one-time occurrence. Washington will be a steal for someone. I wouldn’t hesitate to sign draft him in the 4th round.
most of my posts get deleted :(
??
dude franklin d rooselvelt, albert einstein, thomas jefferson, charles darwin, edgae allen poe, jerry lee lewis, rudy giuliani the current monarchy of england and Egyptian royalty all did the incest thing i agree it’s f’d up but sometimes your raised a certain way and thats that
I've never met a QB who can throw off his back
You know what else all those people have in common
I don’t wanna hang out with them, and I don’t want them being drafted by buffalo. Can you imagine Peter King, Buffalo Bill’s draft talented sister loving Offensive tackle
this conversation
despite the megan fox image, is getting quiet disturbing. Your sister could be 1000 times hotter than Megan Fox, shes still your sister people!! All that means is your going to have to punch a lot of dudes in the face until she graduates high school.
You guys are freaking me out……..

Never argue with an idiot....their parents were probably brother and sister :-)

rec'd......I can't believe this is even an issue. Is nothing sacred?

mob
im agreeing the incest is gross but to not draft someone because of what they did when they were 16 because of it isnt fair to him we dont know how or what happened besides the obv all i was stating is people deserve a chance/2nd chance everybody makes mistakes
some big some small
I've never met a QB who can throw off his back
The Bills won't be getting a Comp pick
And Geather and Micah Johnson are going to be earlier picks than you have them, IMO.
Washington will go much later than the top 50.

I want Geathers
and part of the reason I haven’t released a mock yet is I dont know where the heck hes going to go. I just can’t figure it out.

idk
geathers and johnson both have the skills to go earlier than the rounds i have them in
but there is so much depth in the positions this draft they can slip that far and in my opinion i think they will
I've never met a QB who can throw off his back

So true K.
There's not a wide receiver who is fast enough, that J.P. Losman can't overthrow him on a fly pattern.

Not sure about a lot of the picks
And I’m not sure how Nix will draft, but I like the thought here. I like the idea of trading to get as many picks as possible for the rebuilding effort. The question is if Nix tries to play it this way, will other teams play along, or will they stand pat just to spite the Bills?
unrealistic
3 trades down, c’mon!
With the depth of this draft everyone will be looking to move down – don’t see this scenario playing out at all
I agree
making one trade down for more picks would be great! OBD has never really shown the gumption to pull off a series of deals like this before and while CHIX might be “new blood” I can’t imagine that Ralph and Russ have changed that much to go for something like this.
I do think it would be pretty cool though.
this kind of wheeling and dealing isn’t about anything the Bills have done. No one can pull this off. You simply cant just keep trading down for a ton of picks and think your the smartest guy in the room. Other teams like their picks to you know. Its not about any “gumption” that OBD has, it just isnt doable.

No one can pull this off
That’s not entirely accurate. The Patriot’s did a pretty good job of this last season.
i guess
but the Patriots traded only once for a first rounder and ended up with two second rounders. In this situation, the Bills end up with three different first round picks at various points in the process and all within the top 20, while the Pats never held anything higher than the 23rd. It just seems near impossible to trade three times in the top 20.

excuse me
ended up with two second rounders
meant four.
"you just have to know there's always going to be adversity. None of these games are going to be easy. Nothing will be given to us" - Paul Posluszny
I agree it's extremely unlikely
I’m just saying theres no reason the Bill’s couldn’t trade down twice in the first round.
fair enough
Dont get me wrong, if the two QBs and Bulaga and Okung are gone by 9, I would love to horde second rounders or late firsts but as you say – extremely unlikely.

I totally agree Poz. NE traded twice in last year’s first round, but one of the moves was down three spots from 23 to 26, had the Ravens moving up to grab a total stud in Michael Oher (will anybody be worth somebody trading up when the Bills are on the clock?) and only got a 5th round pick for that trade. And then NE traded out of the first round entirely, something Buffalo cannot do with the 9th pick. It’s commonplace for late first round picks to be traded and it’s not at all realistic that Buffalo could pull off two sizeable moves down in the first. NE also stockpiles picks by trading their picks in the current draft for picks in the next year’s draft.
I signed up for Second Life about a year ago. Back then my life was so great that I literally wanted a second one. In my Second Life I was also a paper salesman and I was also named Dwight. Absolutely everything was the same. Except I could fly. - Dwight Schrute
Cleveland
Another comparison could be made to the Browns.
They started with the #5 pick, traded down with the Jets to 17, traded down with Tampa Bay to 19, and traded again with Philly down to 21.
I think they got hosed on the NYJ deal, but all that wheeling and dealing did net them a number of additional picks.
They received #52 from the Jets, #191 from Tampa, and #195 from Philly, along with Kenyon Coleman, Brett Ratliff, and Abram Elam from the Jets. I don’t like the value they got from the Jets, but once they traded down, I think they did a good job getting extra picks, while still getting a player they really liked, Alex Mack, that will be a perennial stud for them now.
The #5 pick in the draft netted the Browns Alex Mack, David Veikune, Coye Francies, James Davis, Kenyon Coleman, Brett Ratliff, and Abram Elam. Outside of Mack, that’s not a great group other than the solid Coleman and potentially Veikune.

Clevland made one substantial move. The other trades were down two spots for a 6th rounder each. He’s got Buffalo getting a better haul moving down from 9 to 20 than Cleveland did in moving down from 5 to 21.

thats right
I nearly forgot that they got some of those picks for the following draft. A new regime thats already asking the fans to be patient also can’t afford to delay a rebuilding by obtaining picks for year 2 in the regime. Only a proven, winning and brilliant coach is afforded that leeway, which is what Bill Bellichick is.

pats and eagles both trade down very well
the pats and eagles do verywell remember the eagles had 2 firsts last year and dealt us one for peters this draft is very deep indeed but @ positions of need for the teams i have us trading with the depth isnt very deep
i see the giants wanting mcclain badly the texans taylor mays
the 49ers kyle wilson and willing to trade up dur to the facts of teams ahead of them wanting them
I've never met a QB who can throw off his back
After the less than inspiring, Free Agency so far......
I want some form of excitement come draft day? Some people seem to be obsessed with the number of picks the Bills should get, (I can understand that) but I don’t think we should try and get quantity over quality.
In the long run we should be trying to get the best players possibly available.
I don’t think we should try and get quantity over quality.
In the draft quantity is quality. At least in the sense, the more pick’s you have, the better your chances of hitting on them.
true, but
there are reasons that people are willing to trade up, too. Like the fact that most of the guys who have serious NFL potential are likely to go there. Depth is great and all, but if we’re looking to build a team back up again, I would hope that the system is a little better than “Let’s get as many as possible! Hopefully one of them will be a winner!”
I know that’s not what you’re really advocating, but your last comment sounds like it. But why fill all of our holes with average talent? Is that much of an upgrade from what we have? Why not shoot for a few guys who can make an immediate impact and just know that this is a process that will not be even close to completed this year?
"...and dance by the light of the moon!"
In a sense I do advocate that.
In the first roung grab a gamechanger. But the rest of the draft should be used to build depth. Or players that will at least create competition at there position. They don’t need to be day 1 starter’s, but they do need to be an upgrade over the depth we do currently have on the roster.
Buffalo won’t get a comp pick this year. They lost Greer, but they also added TO, Hang and Fitz and those guys combined for a whole lot of starts. The only other players Buffalo lost were the two centers and Losman. Maybe the get a 7th, but I doubt it.
You also have Buffalo selecting Geathers with pick 149, but you included that pick in the trade to the Texans.
I’ve mentioned that the trades are wildly unrealistic, but to each their own. Extra picks do make these things more fun.
I like Terrance Cody, although I’m not a big fan of the value at pick 20. Cody will always be a 2 down player, but I don’t think that’s a problem when drafting him. The reason he’s a two down player isn’t because of endurance (although that is an issue). He simply offers nothing as a pass rusher. Cody needs to be taken off the field for all passing downs and the NFL is a passing league. That’s no reason to not draft Cody, but it’s why I think he’s not great value with the 20th pick. Even with his size and strength, he’s not athletic enough to get a good bull rush going. He’s too slow off the snap and by the time he’s driving the defender backwards, the ball is already out of the QBs hand. When calling Cody a 2 down player, it’s important to note that guys like Pat Williams, Vince Wilfork, Casey Hampton and Jamal Williams are all 2 down players too. There are only so many Shaun Rogers types out there and that’s what makes a potential 3 down player like Dan Williams so intriguing.
It’s great to see people talking about Tony Washington instead of the standard Jared Veldheer in terms of small school guys, but I don’t think the 2nd round is good value. Is he really an immediate starter at LT?
Carrington and Norwood would be good picks in the 3rd. I’m a little dissapointed how much everybody likes Carrington. I watched him play this year and thought I’d be the only one with him rated this high. He consistently beat Iowa RT, Kyle Calloway, in the game I saw. And I have no clue why people are talking about Norwood going this low, but it seems to be about where he’ll go. Good picks.
I think the 4th is too early for Dorin Dickerson. He’s massively undersized to play TE. He’s basically got the body of a runningback. He’ll catch passes out of the backfield, could line up in the slot. Maybe he could lead block at some point and he’ll likely be a very good special teamer, but he’s too much of a tweener to take in the 4th.
Micah Johnson that late is pretty absurd. This draft has a painful lack of depth with 3-4 LBs. After Spikes goes in the 1st or 2nd, Johnson becomes the only real 3-4 thumper left in the draft other than maybe a Mike McLaughlin. I’d be shocked if Johnson makes it out of the 4th round. If Buffalo drafts Dillard, who’s not a bad late round prospect, before Johnson, I might cry a little.

i didnt even notice that
was prolly just looking @ 149 for some reason loll
I've never met a QB who can throw off his back
It will never happen
I wish they would trade for a late first round pick and a good veteran player or players, but it’s not going to happen.
reason i think ithis might be able to work
the one thing juaron left us is db’s and that is what this draft is lacking there are 3 great safetys and 4 good cbs and everybody is looking for there fit there are 2 great man coverage cbs and haden being one of them will be gone by the time houston picks i think they will trade up to get him and the 49ers would like kyle wilson and would trade up to get him in the second considering denver needs another cb and pick ahead of them
I've never met a QB who can throw off his back
i think i can throw this mock away
with the signings today i think this mock has only a few things to offer buffalo
think ill wait and research some more now we have a 3/4 and ilb
my guess is maybin is getting moved to ssolb and mitchell wsolb
so our needs our now in this order OT NT OG WR depth @ OLB ILB RB
I've never met a QB who can throw off his back
