Looking more and more like a late round QB
Seems to me the Bills are targeting a QB late in the draft like third or fourth round. Every QB they talk to is not a 1st or 2nd round prospect maybe not even a 3rd
Rec'd... totally agreed
Considering the recent reports with Gailey talking about the QB’s on their roster now, no movement for one in Free Agency, the reports of them now wanting DE or OT help early in the draft, and the fact that they are looking at every mid/late round prospect at QB, that would tell me that we will not be going that route with Bradford or Clausen at #9. Will McCoy, Tebow, Pike, Leflour (next tier QBs) be available in the 4th or 5th round? Someone like Jarret Brown might be…
I have a real gut feeling that Brohm might be our end of the season consistent starter on our team next year. He might not open up at starter, but smething tells me that Edwards or Fitz which one survives between the two) will probably fail again, and Brohm will be the last one standing other than the rookie QB we are now talking about who wil be 3rd string.
It may not be that they wouldn’t go with Bradford or Clausen at 9, but that they firmly believe it’s a longshot either will be available to them.

watched a lot and went to a few WVU games
like him alot, not as good as White in college but a better NFL prospect due to size

it roughly translates to "120 yards, no td's and 3 picks."
...so I guess now I root for chan gailey...
Or conversely
It translates, to a college player, playing like Trent Edwards ; )
I think Tebow
I would like to draft Tebow if he is still there in the 3rd I think with Gailey there he could mold into the type of leader we need along with helping reach his full potential. I still think he would be a steal in the 3rd
ugh
really? blatantly ignoring all evidence and arguments about tebows ability to throw? yes he needs to shorten his throw, but im pretty sure hes capable to throwing almost any throw needed in the nfl. its his defensive reading and some mechanics that need to be worked out.
but keep thinking that tebow is only known for running if it helps you think he will fail…

Sorry
I know he can throw. He needs to adjust to NFL in many ways. Hence he’s a project QB. Not worth a 1st or 2nd rd pick. If buffalo takes him in later rds, fine. He does need to learn to throw in NFL, I’d like to see a more complete QB prospect. Sorry I hit a nerve.. meant no malice…

Gee
I didn’t realize QB’s were required to pass an NFL pass throwing technique exam prior to being cleared to play.
most of my posts get deleted :(
Wiz
Who said anything about a exam? Tebow’s mechanics are in need of adjustment, even Tebow knows that! My point was I hope we don’t draft a project QB in the first two rds. I’m open to Tebow’s ability to learn , but we need franchise QB, not a project. Oh, and I’d quess scouts just watch the player throw rather than subject the QB to your imagined “NFL pass throwing technique exam”. Sounds like Tebow thinks there is a exam to. Read he’s changing his motion or something. Maybe you could tell him not to worry about it! Cleared to play?

They play a completely different style. He was behind White because White’s style of play can be extremely successful in the NCAA, and I’m sure no one will argue that he wasn’t.
Brown doesnt have white’s agility, so he plays like a QB, not a running back who can throw.
I hate to do this… But I will. Dont hate on the 1 yr starters, two of my least favorite QB’s were 1 yr starters, and you all should be very familiar with them, Sanchez and Brady. Im not saying he’s either of these players, but im sure no one was christening Brady Farve’s equal when they drafted him in the 6th either.

Good post, but if you can't beat out Pat White as a Junior, then how good can you really be?
Maybe he has gotten better, I haven’t seen him play much, but Brown is very low on my list of QBs I hope the Bills draft.

There are a bunch of QB’s in this draft that with some good coaching might turn out to benefit the bills. I dont think this is the year to draft a QB before the 4th round but from 4-7 why not look at guys like Brown, Snead, Clark, Kafka, Canfield or Robinson. We saw what Chan did with thigpen. Why not add one of these guys to the mix.
Agreed
I just wished you would of added all of them except for Bradford and Clausen. To me they are the only two worth drafting in the first three rounds. Everyone else will require more time to mature and learn the game at this level and speed.
This is like dumping a new puzzle from it's box. Now let's start putting the peices together. I guess this is what we all asked for.
Quite honestly, Bradford is coming from a spread offense, so he too will need extra time to mature into the NFL. Clausen is the only one who is week 1 ready for the types of plays and schemes at the NFL level.

and he’s also the one that comes with little, if any, upside. what you see is what you get. if that’s good enough, then by all means make him your guy. I am concerned about his rumored attitude/personality issues though. Can’t gain respect and become a leader by pissing people off. Maybe it’s all been overstated, I have no way of knowing for sure.
If
we’re going to draft a project… I’d much rather draft Tim Tebow.
"I don't agree with a damn thing you say, but I would die for your right to say it."
"If I had to do it all over again, I'd do it all over again."
But there are only seven rounds.
And we will have four for camp by then.

i missed the point of this response. not to be rude but what does that mean?

This post is about J. Brown
Yet another one turns into a Tim TeBow comment section. Not everyone is thrilled about Tim Tebow, I would assure that is why Buffalo is interviewing many QB’s. This fact in itself suggests that Buffalo will draft a QB in 2010 but very possibly not in the first three rounds. I for one believe that drafting a QB of Brown or TeBow’s quality in the first three rounds would be illadvised. For all you Tebow fans I hope I am wrong, for all you Tebow doubters I hope I am right. For you Tebow lovers, I suggest counciling.
This is like dumping a new puzzle from it's box. Now let's start putting the peices together. I guess this is what we all asked for.
well forgive me
but im still lost on your original response. he was simply saying if they draft a “project” qb, then he would rather tebow. no one really knows when he will go in the draft. could go 1st or he could go 4th. all depends on how many teams want him. and only 7 our of 49 comments on this story have mentioned tebow (including yours). i dont think that qualifies as this turning into a tebow comment section.
if they are going to draft a project qb, i would rather tebow, snead, or even lefeavour over this guy. i only expect them to draft one qb this draft, therefore giving the bills 4 by training camp. so again im lost by you initial response, as FA simply said he would rather tebow than brown, still giving the bills 4 qbs and only drafting one……

Except Tebows is a round 2 pick
the whole NFL wont pass him twice, and Jacksonville would be ecstatic to get him without blowin a 1st on him
