Mock Draft V 3.0(Comparisons/Descriptions/No Trades)! ( Also much better prepared than my past mocks :)
Lot's of things have been shaken up
*=NFL comparison
With the 1st pick in the 2010 NFL draft the ST. Louis Rams Select...Sam Bradford QB, Oklahoma- This pick has been Clausen, Suh, or Bradford for many mocks. My pick would be Clausen but the Sam Bradford hype is too much to pass on, they get their frachise QB with this pick instead of a dominate DT(QB is obviously more important) * Tony Romo
- Other possibilities
- Jimmy Clausen- Either or is better than what they have at QB
-Kong Suh- Once in a decade DT prospect, who could solidify any defense
With the 2nd pick in the 2010 NFL draft the Detroit Lions select... Russell Okung LT, Oklahoma State- This pick again could go either way(Okung or Suh). I have to pick Okung because the Lions just drafted their franchise QB(Matt Stafford) and they need to keep him healthy and off the ground. The Lions OL in awful and they will have to face Jared Allen, Julius Pepper, and Clay Matthews twice a year each. Suh is so hard to pass on but they need this LT more than a DT * Joe Thomas
Other Possibilities
- Kong Suh- Could anchor DL for many years
- Eric Berry- Longshot pick but he's a safety being even considered for #2 overall. That's impressive
With the 3rd pick in the 2010 NFL Draft the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select... Ndamukong Suh DT, Nebraska- Widely considered the best prospect in this draft but falls to #3 because other teams slect positional value. This pick is in before Goddell finishes saying "Okung" * Richard Seymour
Other possibilities
- None if Suh is on the board...if not:
- Eric Berry- An awesome safety but again could fall because he is indeed just that, a safety
- Gerald McCoy- Considered the 2nd best prospect this draft and a great DT as well as Suh
With the 4th pick in the 2010 NFL Draft the Washington Redskins select... Brian Bulaga OT, Iowa- With Okung off the board the Redkins realize there is no way they can pass up on an OT. Shanahan teams usually have strong OL's and Washington's OL is pathetic as of now. This is indeed a reach but they need this pick. *Micheal Roos
Other Possibilities
- Jimmy Clausen- The best QB in this draft
- If Russell Okung is available he'll be picked
With the 5th pick in the 2010 NFL Draft the Kansas City Chiefs select...Eric Berry S, Tennessee- KC is very happy that Berry is there for them. I think there is a great chance that Berry is the best player in this draft in 10 years * Ed Reed
Other possibilities
- Brian Bulaga- If he's available Scott Pioli likes building up with OL and DL
With the 6th pick in the 2010 NFL Draft the Seattle Seahawks select...Gerald McCoy DT, Oklahoma- An easy pick for Seattle no doubter this is their guy * Tommie Harris
With the 7th pick in the 2010 NFL Draft the Cleveland Browns select...Jimmy Clausen QB, Notre Dame- Brady Quinn is gone, Derrick Anderson is gone, who is going to start Seneca Wallace? Well if he does that's very sad, Clausen is the easy pick if he's available * Phillip Rivers
Other possibilities
- Joe Haden- Lockdown CB, but ran a bad 40 time
- Dez Bryant- Weak at WR position
With the 8th pick in the 2010 NFL Draft the Oakland Raiders select...Bruce Campbell OT, Maryland- Campbell ran a great 40 time, Al Davis loves great 40 times, match made in Heaven, this is the pick * Branden Albert
With the 9th pick in the 2010 NFL Draft the Buffalo Bills select...Dan Williams NT, Tennessee- I don't love this pick, but since the Bills are moving to a 3-4 they need a powerful NT. They would like to get the great OT here but since Bulaga is gone, Anthony Davis is a bum, and Trent Williams is mediocre( in my opinion), nobody else is worth being drafted here. Maybe the Bills trade down, but i'm not one to put trades in a mock because trades are impossible to predict * Domata Peko
Other Possibilities
-Trent Williams/Brian Bulaga/Anthony Davis- Bills really need a LT
- If one of the 2 QB's is available they will be picked
- Long shot of CJ Spiller or Dez Bryant- Bills need some explosive players
With the 10th pick in the 2010 NFL Draft the Jacksonville Jaguars select...Derrick Morgan DE, Georgia Tech- Morgan is the best pass rusher in this draft by far and Jags get a great pick here * Patrick Kerney
With the 11th pick in the 2010 NFL Draft the Denver Broncos select...Rolando McClain ILB, Alabama- Andre Davis was released and this looks more likely because of that * Zach Thomas
Other possibilities
-Dan Williams- Jamaal Anderson is older and injury prone
- Dez Bryant- If Brandon Marshall is traded, Bryant will be picked
With the 12th pick in the 2010 NFL Draft the Miami Dolphins select... Jason Pierre- Paul OLB/DE, South Florida- Parcells has drafted many linebackers, add one more, JPP has so much upside, it's ridiculous, but he also could very well be a bust * Javon Kearse
With the 13th pick in the 2010 NFL Draft the San Francisco 49ers select...Joe Haden CB, Florida- They are extremely happy to be able to get Haden * Leon Hall
With the 14th pick in the 2010 NFL draft the Seattle Seahawks select...CJ Spiller RB, Clemson- They are very weak at the RB position and Spiller is fast and agile * Reggie Bush
With the 15th pick in the 2010 NFL Draft the New York Giants select...Brian Price DT, UCLA- They really need help for there interior D * Mike Patterson
With the 16th pick in the 2010 NFL Draft the Tennessee Titans select...Brandon Graham DE, Michigan- Vanden Bosch is gone and DE is now their #1 priority * Lamaar Woodley
With the 17th pick in the 2010 NFL Draft the San Francisco 49ers select...Trent Williams OT, Oklahoma - They fill one priority by getting Haden, now they fill another one by getting the 3rd best OT in this draft * Donald Penn
With the 18th pick in the 2010 NFL Draft the Pittsburg Steelers select... Kyle Wilson CB/KR Boise State- CB is a huge need for the Steelers and they don't just get a good CB they get an awesome KR as well * Leodis McKelvin
With the 19th pick in the 2010 NFL Draft the Atlanta Falcons select...Sergio Kindle OLB/DE Texas- Falcons had only 28 sacks in '09, Kindle is a good pass rushing OLB who can really help out because Jamaal Anderson is a bust * Kamerion Wimbley- very athletic like Kindle
With the 20th pick in the 2010 NFL Draft the Houston Texans select...Earl Thomas FS, Texas- Texans get a great pick here when Thomas falls right to them, they really help out their secondary with this pick, especially since they lost Dunta Robinson * Jairus Byrd- Both are huge ballhawks and are same size
With the 21st pick in the 2010 NFL Draft the Cincinnati Bengals select...Dez Bryant WR Oklahoma State- Bryant falls to them because teams are drafting on positional value rather than player talent. Bengals get a huge steal here and they know it. * Brandon Marshall
Wth the 22nd pick in the 2010 NFL Draft the New England Patriots select...Jermaine Gresham TE, Oklahoma- Ben Watson is gone, Chris Baker is gone, they need a TE big time * Antonio Gates, both a strictly pass TE's
With the 23rd pick in the 2010 NFL Draft the Green Bay Packers select...Anthony Davis OT, Rutgers- His stock has really fallen on the count he has acted like a bum, Green Bay really needed OL help as Aaron Rodgers was the most sacked QB in the NFL last year * Jason Peters
With the 24th pick in the 2010 NFL Draft the Philadelphia Eagles select...Everson Griffen DE, USC- Andy Reid loves to draft DE's * Average DE with plus speed
With the 25th pick in the 2010 NFL Draft the Baltimore Ravens select...Jared Odrick DE/DT Penn State- I've had this pick being a WR all season long, but with the aquisition of Anquan Boldin they take a good defensive player to help out their DL after the loss of Dwan Edwards* Tyson Jackson?
With the 26th pick in the 2010 NFL Draft the Arizona Cardinals select...Sean Weatherspoon OLB, Missouri- Karlos Dansby is gone, and they need help on defense know * DJ Williams
With the 27th pick in the 2010 NFL Draft the Dallas Cowboys select...Mike Iupati OG, Idaho- He's the mauling OG that Dallas loves to have, this pick just makes too much sense * Davin Joseph
With the 28th pick in the 2010 NFL Draft the San Diego Chargers select...Ryan Matthews RB, Fresno State- Matthews had an awesome combine, LT is gone, and Sproles isn't an everydown back. Chargers will pick a RB but who will it be, i also think this pick could very well be Jahvid Best because he's a California boy, but after Matthews great combine this could very well be the pick * Lawrence Maroney
With the 29th pick in the 2010 NFL Draft the New York Jets select...Jerry Hughes OLB/DE, TCU- The Jets have two main priorities this draft 1. Get a player who can apply constant pressure on the QB, and 2. Get a WR. Jets take the great pass rusher on Hughes over Golden Tate or Arrelious Benn because Rex Ryan loves him some defensive pressure * Terrell Suggs
With the 30th pick in the 2010 NFL Draft the Minnesota Vikings select...Devin McCourtey CB, Rutgers- Donovan Warren killed his stock by running a terrible 40 time, McCourtey is a good up and coming CB prospect and with CB being one of Minnesota's top priorities this offseason this is a good pick for them * Cortland Finnegan
With the 31st pick in the 2010 NFL Draft the Indianapolis Colts select...Mourkice Pouncey OG/C, Florida- The defense still isn't great but the Colts get an awesome pick here * Eric Wood
With the 32nd Pick in the 2010 NFL Draft the New Orleans Saints select...Ricky Sapp OLB/DE, Clemson- Saints get a good pass rusher and a good pick here as well * Aaron Maybin
2nd Round
33. St. Louis Rams- Arrelious Benn WR, Illinois- They got their franchise QB in the first round, now they get their franchise WR(who i believe is the best in the draft)
34. Detroit Lions- Geno Atkins DT, Georgia- A reach, but Atkins hs done great to improve his stock. Lions help out their terrible defense here
35. Tampa Bay Buccaneers- Carlos Dunlap DE, Florida- They draft Suh and now Dunlap? Yea they had an awful D-Line which could now be come very dominate if Dunlap realizes he has great potential and stops being a lazy bum
36. Kansas City Chiefs- Terrence Cody NT, Alabama- They get the fat boy. He's got awesome potential because how often do you see a player this big?
37. Washington Redskins- Jahvid Best RB, California- Clinton Portis just isn't anything special anymore
38. Cleveland Browns- Kareem Jackson CB, Alabama- Secondary isn't too great, considered still having them draft Haden 1st round
39. Oakland Raiders- Taylor Mays SS, USC- Al Davis is doing flips thats Mays has somehow fallen to them in the second round, this pick is quickly
40. San Diego Chargers- Charles Brown- Stole a 20 pick rise fom 60-40 by trading Whitehurst to the Seahawks. Chargers lost Marcus McNeil and get a steal here by getting 1st round talent
41. Buffalo Bills- Rodger Saffold OT, Indiana- Saffold did great at the combine and the Bills desperatly need OL help. By taking Dan Williams in the 1st round they almost have to draft a OT in the second round
42. Tampa Bay Buccaneers- Golden Tate WR, Notre Dame- They lost Antonio Bryant to FA, so they will be looking for the #1 Wr for Josh Freeman
43. Miami Dolphins- Nate Allen FS, South Florida- Dolphins pick another South Florida player, and FS is a need for them
44. New England Patriots- Koa Misi DE/OLB, Utah- Get some depth for that 3-4
45. Denver Broncos- Damien Williams WR, USC- If Marshall is traded htye may very well take Bryant, but make this pick because If they are to trade Marshall or he gets upset they can move Williams to the #1 and Royal to the #2. If Marshall is on the team Royal can slot
46. New York Giants-
47. New England Patriots- Brandon LaFell WR, LSU- Wes Welker has a brutal injury, Randy Moss doesn't think he'll be resigned, the Pats could definatly use a good WR who can return as well
48. Carolina Panthers- Mardy Gilyard WR, Cincinnati- Steve Smiths wants a counterpart, Gilyard is a great KR as well as a good possible slot WR
49. San Francisco 49ers- Jonathan Dwyer RB, Georgia Tech- Frank Gore seems injury prone, Dwyer is a bit of a reach here but still a good pick
50. Kansas City Chiefs- Dexter McCluster RB/WR/KR Ole Miss- Get a versatile player and WR is a need for KC, McCluster can also play RB which is also a KC need
51. Houston Texans- Brandon Ghee CB, Wake Forest- In a pass happy division a strong secondary is important, Houston has a weak secondary but improve it by getting Ghee and Thomas in the 1st
52. Pittsburg Steelers- Vladimir Ducasse OG UMASS- They consider Iupati in the 1st round but don't take him, they now take a OG
53. New England Patriots- Cam Thomas DT/NT UNC- They signed Wilfork but still take Thomas because after 3 years under Wilfork when Thomas is ready he could be very good. Thomas is not quite ready to play now though
54. Cincinnati Bengals- Lamarr Houston DT, Texas- Depth at DT is needed
55. Philedelphia Eagles- Daryl Washington OLB, TCU- They have a hole at weakside LB and Washington is a good pick here
56. Green Bay Packers- Joe McKnight RB, USC- Green Bay already has an explosive offense, it can be even more explosive after this pick
57. Baltimore Ravens- Chris Cook CB/FS, Virginia- CB must be upgraded to beat the Colts and Texans now
58. Arizona Cardinals- J.D Walton C/OG , Baylor- Need to keep Leinart off the ground
59. Dallas Cowboys- Brandon Spikes ILB, Florida- ILB's tend to slip on draft day so Spikes could very well fall to here, Dallas snaches him up quickly
60. Seattle Seahawks- Jared Veldheer OT, Hillsdale- Get a great RB, a very good DT, and a strong OT in their first 3 picks...well done
61. New York Jets- Reshad Jones S, Georgia- I thought about giving them a S in the first round because of trading Kerry Rhodes, but they get a decent S here
62. Minnesota Vikings- Chad Jones S, LSU- I am just completly guessing this pick, i think Jones could be an upgrade so i give them Jones
63. Indianapolis Colts- Donovan Warren CB, Michigan- Warren killed his stock by running a poor 40 time, see a trend? AFC South teams drafting secondary players because it's such a pass happy division
64. New Orleans Saints- Navarro Bowman OLB, Penn State- Good upgrade on defense with this pick, 1st round talent with the last pick in the 2nd round
Rest of the Bills Draft
3rd round- John Skelton QB, Fordham- Skelton has a cannon arm and is a great prospect. He'll take a couple years to develop but he could be well worth the wait
4th round- Eric Norwood OLB, South Carolina- Eric Norwood had 11.5 TFL and seven sacks in 2009. He also has two blocked kicks and 62 total tackles. He is great against the run and puts pressure on the QB. Seems like a mid-round favorite in Buffalo
5th round- Marcus Easley WR, Connecticut- At 6'3, Easley ran a 4.46 40 time. He's a prohect but has good upside, and is low risk in the 5th round
6th round- Joe Pawelek ILB, Baylor- 109 tackles in 2009, is a solid ILB back up
6th round(from Philly)- Chris Brown RB, Oklahoma - Quick runner and decent pass catcher
7th round(From Detroit)- Al Woods NT, LSU- Get depth
7th round- Willie Rose FB, Florida Atlantic
Side Note- This NCAAB tourney is a doosey(currently 63rd...ouch)
Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.

With the recent, much approved additions of Edwards and Davis to the defense, I still think more than ever we need to use our first pick for the best OL man available.
P.S
What?.. NO Tebow?…. Anywhere???

OT
I agree we need to use our 1st Rounder on the O line. I like Mike Iupati OG, Idaho. I know that he is a guard but still i just think he is a beast. I also think that we should get Tebow in the secound. Other wise great draft. I really like Eric Norwood.
I like your draft because there are a few surprises. Every draft has a few surprises though this time I don’t think it will be the Raiders who make the odd pick. (most people expect the Raiders to go odd-ball)
It’s like when they predict the NFL division winners before the season begins. Consistently half the previous year’s playoff teams do not repeat but the predictors almost always pencil in last years winner.
If Joe Hadden drops to us at #9
Then a whole bunch of trade partners become very likely:
Tennessee at #16 would be a likely partner to come-up to get Derek Morgan or Joe Hadden (9 → 16+77+145) They really are poor against the pass, lost Kyle Vanden Bosch and must play Peyton Manning twice a year!
Falcons at #19, but the falcons don’t have a 2nd so it’s highly unlikely but I’d be willing to do it for a 2011 2nd (9 → 19 + 146 +2011 2nd)
Houston at #20, they play Peyton twice per year – they desperately need some star power at the corner position (9 → 20 + 51 + 178)
Another possible team to consider is Minnesota, they desperately need help at corner and they probably would pull out the stops for a chance at Hadden (9 → 30 + 126 + 2011 2nd)
If we move to say 16 or 20 and Spiller is off the board, then maybe we call the Saints and SD to see how bad they want Matthews or Best
Rebuilding is fun because you can afford to stock pile. I really hope that Nix is active on Draft day.

Skelton might be.2 round's to high
But there’s at least 2 team’s out there with 3rd round grades on him. Which doesn’t mean he’ll be picked in the 3rd. But it doesn’t mean he won’t either.
I think the only thing that’s way off (other than a few prospect comparisons) is Al Woods in the 7th. A lot of people like him more than Torell Troup who seems to be considered a solid 3rd round option around here. I think Woods is right in that mix as a 3rd-4th round option. I’d actually view him as a bit of a steal in the 4th. Good athlete, super long and almost as stout in the run game as guys who are more true NTs like Cam Thomas and Troup. He’d play both DE and NT and is a great fit in a 4-3 too which really helps his draft value. He could break his leg tomorrow and would probably still get picked before the 7th round.
I’d switch Skelton and Norwood. I think Skelton is far, far more likely to be available in the 4th than Norwood is. The consensus around the internet seems to have Norwood in that 3rd-4th round area, but I still think he’s a 2nd round prospect. And QBs who aren’t projected to go in the top 50 picks tend to slide. I know the assumption is often that QBs go early, but the success rate of those mid tier prospects is so low that teams only grab the ones that they really love. QB prospects polarize, so a team could see the LB or DE prospect they love go right in front of them and then just move down the list and grab their next LB or DE, but teams aren’t likely to do that with a QB. Somebody (or somebodies) like McCoy, Snead, Skelton, Jarrett Brown or Tony Pike will slide multiple rounds further than we’d have ever guessed. Plus I simply don’t think the 3rd round is good value for Skelton. I’m not adverse to draft day risks, but taking a project QB in the 3rd with all the holes we have doesn’t seem smart.
I don’t think Joe Pawelek fits the 3-4. I don’t think he takes on blockers well enough. Donald Butler (Washington), Josh Hull (Penn St.) and Mike McLaughlin (Boston College) are my top ILBs in that 4th-6th range.
I signed up for Second Life about a year ago. Back then my life was so great that I literally wanted a second one. In my Second Life I was also a paper salesman and I was also named Dwight. Absolutely everything was the same. Except I could fly. - Dwight Schrute
I like the mock, but I’m hoping for more a keysh67 move.

This looks like a great year
for trading down. With Hadden, Spiller, Bryant and even Claussen to a certain extent (If we don’t feel he’s the guy) are all guys that we could probably find trading partners with. And the beauty is there might be a few trades possible. There’s a lot of very good 2nd round prospects that could really help our team. Something tells me that Nix will be active on day1 of the draft.

Where exactly do yoy see some of those comparisons??
Wilson and Leo? Zach Thomas and McClain???

i guessed on the Wilson comp, i had McClain being compared to Pat Willis, but changed it because Willis is more athletic, i couldn’t think of anyone else to copare to McClain other than Thomas

So why do you make these comparisons
Having no idea if they are correct??

I really like all of the picks you had for the Bills. I think the first round might shake out that way. I feel like the Bills will miss out on the OTs that they want and will end up still getting the NT that they will love. Hopefully the rest of the draft goes the way you think in regards to our picks
