IF the terms of a McNabb to Buffalo trade were as follows:
Buffalo gives 3rd round pick in 2010 draft AND a conditional 2011 pick up to a second round pick if McNabb signs an extension before the start of the 2011 free agency period - if there is one - otherwise it's a 5th round pick in 2011.
Bills get McNabb at a bare minimum cost (1 year without extension) of a 3rd and a 5th and at a maximum (with extension) of a 3rd and a 2nd.
Eagles get a guaranteed 3rd round pick in 2010 and a 5th round pick in 2011 with the possibility of that 5th round pick being a 2nd round pick.
McNabb is a Bill but is still in control of his own status come 2011.
Please vote and discuss your vote. But before you do, I want to make a few points.
- The Bills could tag McNabb in 2011 and possible even trade him after tagging him.
- Buffalo is just as free to walk-away from McNabb as he is from them.
- The Bills have very little (further) risk other than a 5th rounder in 2011 if McNabb bolts.
- Mcnabb is not the type of player that will dog it because he's not getting his way. He will try to win.
