Bills likely to wade into free agency - BuffaloBills.com
"Over the past four years the Buffalo Bills have been among the first teams to leap into the free agent pool to procure talent for their roster and fill positional needs on their team. Under the new regime, led by general manager Buddy Nix, however, it seems more likely that the Bills will take a more moderate approach to the market as it opens midnight tonight (March 5th)."

Bills prep for free agency | WIVB.com
"I think it probably impacts us more than a lot of people," Nix said, "in the fact that there's a lot of people that we might be looking at, that are not available. It is what it is, you just try to plug in, and then you try to make sure that in the draft you get what you actually need."

Source: Bills, McNabb not interested in each other : Buffalo Sports Daily
"According to a source I spoke with on Wednesday there’s a decent chance Donovan McNabb will be traded before the NFL draft, despite claims otherwise made by the Philadelphia Eagles. However, the same source says that if McNabb is dealt it will positively not be to the Buffalo Bills."

Free Agency & Trades
Chargers make players available - Inside the Bills

"First, and most important the Chargers cut NT Jamal Williams, who after 12 seasons is on the back side of his career, but could serve a stop gap role for a team in need of filling a hole in the middle of a 3-4 defense."

BillBoard: Bills tender 4 RFAs
"[Not tendering Jonathan Scott and Richie Incognito] underscore what a mess the offensive line was last season, given the fact Scott started eight games, six at left tackle and two at right tackle. The decision not to tender Incognito underscores the Bills' confidence that starting guard Eric Wood will be able to return on time from the broken leg injury he suffered last season."

Vick's price - Inside the Bills
"According to multiple sources the asking price for Michael Vick is a second-round draft pick."

BillBoard: Bryan Scott back
"Veteran safety Bryan Scott was due to hit unrestricted free agency on Friday, but instead he re-signed with the Bills. Scott agreed to terms on a two-year contract with Buffalo."

NFL Free Agency Primer - WGR 550 SportsRadio
"So with Camp Gailey now in town running the show, what types of things can we be looking out for? I hope you're ready, because your about to get all the football talk you can handle."

Pennington wants Fins no-trade clause - AFC East Blog - ESPN
"A source told Palm Beach Post reporter Edgar Thompson that quarterback Chad Pennington would re-sign with the Miami Dolphins, "barring something crazy." ESPN's Chris Mortensen has learned contract talks have hit a snag that could jeopardize Pennington's return."

Source: Toronto Argos have an interest in Bills free agent quarterback Hamdan - CFL - Yahoo! Sports
"NFL free agency is slated to begin at 12:01 a.m. ET on Friday, which is when the Argos could begin working out quarterbacks south of the border. And a CFL source requesting anonymity says a player of particular interest to Toronto is Gibran Hamdan, the Buffalo Bills' third-string quarterback." BTW - this is quite literally the most in-depth article I've ever read on Hamdan.

Buffalo Bills 2010 Roster: How Low Can They Go? | Bleacher Report
"Also, because there will not be any NFL watchdog overseeing how much they are spending on their players, is there anything preventing the Bills from spending less than $100 million to fill out the roster?"

'Ralph' stadium work bids on target - Business First of Buffalo:
"Erie County is looking at a smaller-than-expected bill for a series of repairs to be made this spring at Ralph Wilson Stadium. The list of improvements includes replacement of cracked asphalt and the installation of new heating, ventilation and air conditioning units in restrooms."

NFL Draft Prospect Profile: Trent Williams : Buffalo Sports Daily

BSD profiles the Oklahoma tackle calling him "the third best tackle in the draft" behind Bryan Bulaga and Russell Okung.

Mock Draft 3.0 - Mocking The Draft
9. Buffalo Bills- QB- Jimmy Clausen- Notre Dame
"Just like the Rams the Bills need to solve the public relation issues in the Buffalo area. They need to get the fans excited and drafting a potential franchise quarterback is the best way to nurture excitement. The Bills have a need on the offensive line so players like Anthony Davis and Bryan Bulaga are possible. They might be tempted to select Dan Williams to help facilitate their switch to a 3-4 defense."

2010 NFL Mock Draft, Sam Bradford to St. Louis Rams - Don Banks - SI.com
No. 9 - OT Anthony Davis, Rutgers
"The Bills can get funky on us in the first round, but this is an easy trigger to pull when it comes to Davis. Buffalo is more desperate for offensive tackles than they are for quarterbacks, and that's a mouthful indeed"

SB Nation's 2010 NFL Mock Draft 1.0 - SB Nation
SBN's first mock has the Bills taking OT Anthony Davis. Mocking the Draft and Brian Galliford give their thoughts on the selection, too.

This front office sucks, we’re DOOOOOOMED!

In all seriousness I usually hate getting out of bed for work, but this morning I sprung out to check twitter to see if we had signed someone. I’m such a loser.

C'mon Matt

We need a new picture, I’m so tired of the Wilson “This is my right and left hand” photo. How about a pic of Trent baking cookies with his sister or something.

LOL. I try to tie the picture to what the headlines are. I could have put Dnab as the picture but decided against it but the point is taken. :-)

“According to multiple sources the asking price for Michael Vick is a second-round draft pick.”

Hahaha. Nooooooo. No ………….. No.
To me, that means one of two things. Either they’re trying to play hardball in negotiations or McNabb is gone and they need to keep Vick.
Because nobody is giving a second rounder up for that guy. Well, maybe the Raiders.

Well that is the starting asking price. I doubt he gets dealt for that much…I could be wrong though….

No weekend spent pantsless is a wasted weekend.

That’s what I was saying with the “hardball” comment, I guess. It’s probably just the Eagles trying to get a 4th round pick out of any Vick suitors rather than a 5th or 6th. 2nd is just way out of the realm of reality.

Good for Hamdan

I hope he gets his chance to start. It seems he has already done well at that level of competition.
