I don’t like Porter, seems like a dirty player, but if it makes our team better I am all for it.
I got nothing.

What position would he play?
ILB? If so does that affect Poz or Mitchell who I was thinking were slotted for ILB.
Or if he’s OLB, then what about Maybin or Schoebel?
I would think OLB, and with no one on our roster that has ever played that position I think there would be room for him.

OLB. He would replace Schobel should he retire or give Maybin a season to learn how to play OLB from one of the best or be there if Schobel can’t make the transition.

Aside from his belligerent attitude, The presence of Porter would certainly accelerate Maybin’s OLB development. It’s actually the most deficient position on the team. The Bills have one “prospect” in Maybin at OLB. Schobel may not even be there, nor does he have experience at the position. Not to mention there’s no experienced depth at OLB on the roster. The way I see it, the Bills are currently minus 3 OLB’s, at best.

Kawika had quad sugery and isn’t due back before mid-may at best. At this point figuring him as a rush LB asset is probably wishful thinking.

disagree sorta
i don’t think Mitchell should be replied upon to play outside at all, but it has nothing to do with his injury. his knee ligaments are supposedly fine. At this point it’s about getting strength and flexibility back in the surrounding muscles and tendons. That doesn’t take that long really if eveything is structurally fine. If it effects him the first few games of the season I would be suprised.
i will not drinketh thy coolaid...
good
depth is always good. i want foote though.

A) Joey Porter and Larry Foote don’t play the same position
B) Neither Joey Porter nor Larry Foote would be a depth signing

Porter would get the nod over Maybin, because, well, he’s better than Maybin. Maybin doesn’t have to start.

Porter
we could use him, he knows the 3-4 Edwards knows him the addition would be great. The attitude he would bring and Maybin could use this guy as sort of a mentor. Like the idea of Porter and Wilson will be willing to pay for him cause lets face it, its another T.O. move (brings fans back). Wont get my hopes up yet
