hows his arm-strength?

by billsnterps on Mar 9, 2010 3:00 PM EST reply actions

Good arm strength, terrible accuracy.

Picture JaMarcus Russell, but not as styrong of an arm an slightly more accurate. But nowhere near as mobile.

So he just doesn’t move then?

id say

throw him in a blender with JP Losman, Holcomb, T Edwards, Fitzpatrick and whoever else and see what happens. Maybe just have each guy start 1-2 games and play musical chairs. Or the fans could vote. All I know is he completed 2 passes or was it one when they played at the Ralph last season?

It was 2. I’d say his receivers were more responsible for that putrid showing than he on that day. But no capable quarterback goes 2-17 ever. Ever. EVER.

You would get one heaping serving of suck. sounds delish.

by Cinga on Mar 9, 2010 5:03 PM EST up reply actions

Weren’t his passing stats 2-23 against us this year? Ugh …

by sabre74kkn on Mar 9, 2010 3:03 PM EST reply actions

What does this have to do with the Bills?

Anderson is a pile of garbage and has been a total scrub since he’s fluke season.

In his last 18 games (16 starts) he’s completed a whopping 223 passes in 465 attempts, which is a stellar 47.9 completion percentage, for 2503 yards. That averages out to 5.38 yards per attempt. He has 12 TD’s and 18 INT’s in that time, with 5 lost fumbles too.

I’d be concerned if the Bills considered Anderson a viable option, even in the short term.

Agreed

Buffalo should not consider a guy like Anderson, who would be no better than Trent or Fitz. I’d rather see Brohm or another young qb in there.

WR talent was no Bueno in Cleveland…….

Take that into account as well.

Well, I agree, but it’s not too much better in Buffalo too, IMO.

Sure

But those numbers are atrocious

well to his credit.......

he’s had a better pro season than any of the guys on our current roster………

At this point

I’m concerned for any bills qb because we have yet establish that we will focus on the O-line. You see the bills getting a lot of skilled prospects from the draft but yet to work out at OT. The trenches is where the game is won and lost and let’s face it, it doesn’t matter who the QB is if he has no line.

by danntheman on Mar 9, 2010 3:16 PM EST via mobile reply actions

This is saying a lot, but I think I’d rather sign Jake Dehlomme than go after Derek Anderson.

by Jeff Winters on Mar 9, 2010 3:25 PM EST reply actions

I’d rather become a Jets fan than see either start for us next year. And I LOATH the Jets.

by CanadianBillsFan on Mar 9, 2010 6:38 PM EST up reply actions

I would rather Fitzpatrick be our starter…

by michaelcooksey on Mar 9, 2010 3:28 PM EST reply actions

pass

he’ll be a raider soon enough. If they are going to bring in a journeyman qb who is doomed to fail, let’s bring one in who comes from a culture of winning. for that reason and that reason only the only viable FA QB to fit the bill is Delhomme. So let’s draft Clausen if he falls to us.

Later Losman!

by rockybillboa on Mar 9, 2010 3:38 PM EST reply actions

Please no

I’d rather have Quinn, he will be a solid QB in this league one day.

by csc06258 on Mar 9, 2010 3:49 PM EST reply actions

You know what.....we should take him.........

Why you ask?

Because…..

Hmmmm let's see

Browns QB status a notch above ours. Holmgren cuts one of them knowing he’d get bupkus for him. Holmgren reportedly a pretty smart football guy.
And we would pick this guy up – why?

Holmgren says Seneca Wallace > Derek Anderson

a ringing endorsement of Wallace either….

by Cinga on Mar 9, 2010 6:03 PM EST up reply actions

Right now we have a cluttered back up QB situation, why add more to that mess?

I was born in Buffalo, and NO, it's not a suburb of New York City

Anderson = Fitzpatrick

We’ve already got an inaccurate QB that is best suited as a backup on our team.

by IthacaBillsFan on Mar 9, 2010 3:56 PM EST reply actions

I never thought I'd say this

But I’d rather draft Tebow, than sign Derek Anderson. OMG this is how it begin’s, he sneaks inyo your brain. Somebody get Tebow out my brain, aaaarrrrrggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh

by Kurupt on Mar 9, 2010 4:38 PM EST up reply actions

Why not?

i see alot of you guys are completly against bringin this guy in, ARE YOU GUYS FREAKIN SERIOUS? do you not remember who we have for qb’s? Fitzy aint S**T, Trent is beat and Brohm does have promise but thats a couples year from now, this guy obviously has had his issues as of late but he has shown what he could do in the right system…maybe his performance has to do with the fact da Mangini SUCKS as a coach, maybe not but why not give him a chance…im not sayin that Anderson is the answer but get the guy in here have him compete if it doesnt work out then move on but to completly be against it is outrages taking into consideration who we currently have in our roster…

by FocusedKnowledge on Mar 9, 2010 4:33 PM EST reply actions

He’s slow and inaccurate. He’s a mistake waiting to happen to the franchise. It’s not like the Browns’ QB situation is settled, so if Anderson isn’t even considered good enough to compete there, he doesn’t deserve a shot in Buffalo.

by CanadianBillsFan on Mar 9, 2010 6:37 PM EST reply actions

?

its fits accurate? trent? you guys talk about GOD NO! we dont even have a decent qb why not bring someone in to see what he could do…a mistake waitin to happen to the franchise? have you not watched buffalo football the last 10 yrs!!! did you not watch it last year how terrible our qb play was, i know the line has to do some with it but i also saw times where they had time to throw i didnt know wat da hell to do with it…so you guys are tellin me that Anderson isnt better than Fitzy or trent? lol really?..jus two yrs ago he was one of the hottest qb’s in the league, was fitz ever? or trent? and dont tell me that 5 game span before the Cardinals game lets b serious now the only reason why he was even praised like that is bc we havent had an ounce of excitement on the qb spot since God knows…again im not sayin that Anderson is going to take us t the promise land by any means but DAMN give the guy a shot, its not like we have a better option, do we?all im sayin is keep ur minds open bc one never knows ppl, Andersons 1 year a fluke? maybe, maybe not…maybe a change of scene does him some good, he has the arm strength to throw the rock up here in good ’ol Buff, get his mind straight and BAM! its 2007 all over again for anderson!!
