Web Rumblings: Buffalo Bills Links, 4/12

Fan Friday 4-9 Inside the Bills
"I think there’s a chance that defensive coordinator George Edwards will want a linebacker that’s very familiar with the 3-4 scheme in the middle of that defense and that to me gives Andra Davis the edge to start next to Paul Posluszny. That means that Kawika Mitchell is likely the strong side linebacker on the outside opposite Maybin, which to me isn’t a bad thing. Mitchell is a good blitzer and certainly strong enough to grind with the tight end. I think he could be a good fit there."

Maybin’s weight situation – Inside The Bills
"Right now I’m in the (two) 40’s. I’m probably 245/246 right now, but I think that if I gain another 10 pounds I think I’ll still be around the same speed, around the same explosiveness, all that kind of stuff," said Maybin. "I just feel like whatever weight I feel comfortable with I’ll keep on gaining and if I start to feel like it’s uncomfortable at all then I’ll slow down, but right now I feel fine so I don’t think it’s anything to worry about."

Jets expected to announce Cortland return - AFC East Blog - ESPN

"The Jets will be back [in Cortland] for a second straight summer." It's great for upstate NY because last year it brought in $4.2M to the local economy but the Jets training camp is now closer to Buffalo than the Meadowlands.

NFL.com Blogs " Blog Archive Roundup: Why is Gaither available? "
"Gaither was tendered with a first-round pick by the Ravens, and Jason La Canfora noted several weeks ago a second-round pick could get the conversation started. All indications are the Ravens appear willing to move Gaither, and Ken Murray of The Baltimore Sun might have offered up one of the reasons why when he referred to Gaither’s work ethic as 'half-baked.'"
