Web Rumblings: Buffalo Bills Links, 4/13
John Clayton - Mailbag - ESPN
"Campbell has two main hopes -- Oakland or Buffalo -- although he'd prefer if something could be done to get him to Carolina. The Bills, meanwhile, could factor Campbell's availability into what they do at quarterback. The cost of Campbell won't be more than a lower-round pick, a bargain for a starting quarterback. That could give the Bills the luxury of taking a Colt McCoy or a Tim Tebow and still getting Campbell as a starting quarterback to buy time for their future QB's development."
Time for the Bills to deal Marshawn Lynch | National Football Post
"According to a team source who spoke to the National Football Post yesterday, Bills ownership has grown tired of Lynch’s act — and he doesn’t look to be a fit for new head coach Chan Gailey. Although that isn't an automatic ticket out of town, the solution is simple: Trade Lynch while he’s still considered to have value throughout the league."

Kiper on QB Skelton – Inside The Bills
"He’s a developmental quarterback and he’s another coaching issue with mechanics and developing from Fordham to the competition level of the NFL, but with his size and his arm there’s no question he could go anywhere from the third to the fifth round. I’ve got him in the fourth round going to Jacksonville."
Price is right for picks at wide receiver : Buffalo Bills : The Buffalo News

Only problem with that BSD story is that Burgess isn’t a 3-4 OLB. NE got him last year specifically because they were moving to a hybrid look, and Burgess played end on 4-3 downs. He’s a 4-3 end through and through, and I seriously doubt the Bills will have interest in him.

Holy geez, that Joe from NYC Blog is God-awful. Besides him trying to make the argument that the Bills won’t draft a LT this year simply because they didn’t last year – which makes even less sense than normal because they have a new regime, besides him trying to argue that drafting Tim Tebow is for marketing purposes, and besides the fact that he complains about getting text messages from the Bills (you can, ya know, turn them off), he provides this little gem:
If I’m the Bills, I’d be on the phone with the Houston Texans to see if they are interested in the services of Aaron Schobel. I don’t care what Schobel says on the surface. It has to be an interesting idea for him to play for a perennial playoff team in his own home state-
Exsqueeze me? Baking powder? Perennial playoff team? I don’t have an incredibly large vocabulary, but I’m fairly certain “perennial” occurs year after year – and the Texans have yet to make the playoffs in their short franchise history.

I like that draft value chart. Much more realistic than the version from the 90s that people still insist on using today.
Thanks.

Boy that is completely the opposite of what Keysh has been preaching about Lynch for a while now.
No weekend spent pantsless is a wasted weekend.
Yeah, this make no sense at all...
Lynch is a downhill runner, you can tell that last year he was trying to hard to make a big impact play rather than just taking what is there…but I am pretty sure he will get his act back together this year.

Lynch seemed to dance a lot more at the line last year. Freddie was more decisive which is why I think he earned and kept the starters job. IF Gailey can figure out a way to make bigger and move obvious running lanes then I think Marshawn could be fine (assuming he is on the team).
No weekend spent pantsless is a wasted weekend.
I disagree with Clayton that the Dolphins would have been better off if they took Ryan
Jake Long is a top 3 LT and Chad Henne may very well be a QB on the rise.
The prooper comparison should be “Henne or Ryan?” and the answer is still TBD
