Eagles claim they are looking to move up for one of top two Safeties
For those of us who feel the Bills should drop down and stockpile more picks, the Eagles may be out ticket. If Thomas or Berry somehow move into the area where we pick, we could be getting some serious phone calls about that spot, especially if its Berry that falls.
I personally would be fine trading the pick if the 4 top tackles are gone and the team does not like Claussen, then fall back, get a couple of more picks, and get a ton of new, and BETTER bodies in here.

Love the idea
I previously posted about this in the Fan Post section.
Obviously, moving all the way down to 24 would be a big drop off, however, we would definitely be getting pick 37 and probably another as well.
Having 3 picks in the top 41 would be HUGE towards rebuilding the Bills.
At 37 I think Cody would be a great pick, as would Saffold at 41.
I really don’t think it is beyond the realm of possibility that Clausen would be available at 24. I would love getting those 3, as laying the foundation for a brighter future!!
Or just trade them D Whitner
….worth throwing out there, Buddy
They may not want our Castoffs, don't forget Peters actually was a good player when we traded him
I’m not sure what we could get for Whitner a 5th?
Nix and Chan, the new Cheech and Chong of the Bills, hopefully they will be as successful in business as they were, and not so much the drug fueled comedy act....
We may not give Whitner a lot of credit here. But his play is actually mostly held in high regard around the league.
I remember when I did a post on Bleeding Green Nation (the Eagles site) on possible McNabb trades Whitner’s name came up quite a bit and they were giving him much higher value than I would have. His value was ranging from the equvuland of a mid second to a mid third rounder. And i honestly think that we could fetch that if we were willing to trade him.
Personally I hpe that we keep him. He may not be a starter, but he will be a very good rotational/situational safety for us manning both FS and SS positions depending on the situation. I honestly hope that we keep him around.
The more I see, the less I know.

Gailey recently said that Whitner is the starter going into camp at SS
anyone think this is a ploy to up his value in the eyes of other teams?
No I think that it’s an honest evaluation of his talents. The kid is talented, young and expirienced. We just happen to also be gifted with 3 other very solid players at safety. To me the “starter” deisgnation at safety means that you’ll be taking about 60% of the snaps this year, and probably not much more.

Would Dick Jauron want him again?
You can't have CHANGE without CHAN.

If the Bills were to move down to 24
They’d probably get #37 and I’d guess Philly’s later 3rd rounder, #87. I suppose they could get 37 and 70, but that’s a lot for Philly to give up.
Remember when Jacksonville moved up from 26 to 8, in 2008 for Derrick Harvey? They gave up 71, 89, and 125, as well as 26. I bet Philly would try offering #70 and #87 as a starting point.
If I’m the Bills, and was willing to trade with Philly, I’d insist on #37 to start, and then probably #87 to complete the trade. #55 and #70 would also make sense, and is closer in value to what #9 is supposedly worth.
Hypothetically, let’s say the Bills trade #9 for #24, 37 and 87, giving them picks at 24, 37, 41, 72, 87 and 107. That would give them a ton of flexibility to move around again and get multiple players they like/love. I might even try flipping that #87 with the 24 to move back up to the mid teens to select Tebow. That’s exactly what Baltimore did after that Harvey trade in order to select Joe Flacco. I’d LOVE for this scenario to happen.

Just wondering??
Who do you see going after Tebow between mid teens and #24 that we would need to trade up for him?? SF at 17 is all I see is there someone else? IMO I think he will be there at #37 and maybee at #41.
I like the extra picks!!
I could be happy with a #24 R.Saffold #37 T. Cody #41 T. Tebow #72 R. Sapp #87 move up a little to get B. Lafell #107 best DE (V. Oghobaase).
When does NE draft again? Because I deffinatly see Bellicheat going after Tebow.

New England could be one
Pittsburgh
Any team that really wants Tebow could jump ahead of us if they feel we’d take him. Trading up from 24 would guarantee we got Tebow, while also making sure nobody else has the ability to trade up for him….

So you’d want us to trade back to 24 and then trade up again for Tebow? Finding one opening day trade partner is hard enough without having to worry about finding two.
