Schobel Decision - How much longer?

As the NFL Draft is just a few precious days away, there have been no recent updates from Aaron Schobel, and his potential retirement. As this has dragged on since the end of the season, it is my belief that he owes the Bills an answer prior to Thursday's first round.

As more time passes, I continue to believe that Schobel is going to retire and will not play next season. Whatever he decides to do is fine, but that decision needs to come now. If he does come back the team's draft strategy could change, as an OLB might slide down the priority list with Schobel back. If he does retire, than I see someone such as Derrick Morgan from Georgia Tech as a real option for the team at pick #9.

There are already enough questions with the team's switch to a 3-4, and I'm not sure if we can bank on Kawika Mitchell being healthy enough to start the season at OLB. I don't see Chris Kelsay as being a realistic starter, and don't get me started on Chris Ellis.

In short, if Schobel retires, an OLB might be priority #1 for the team.

Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.
