Attention Rumblers: Please read this

If the last 5 hours is any indication, there is going to be a flood of new fan posts hitting the boards. In the last 5 hours there have been 12 new fan posts, and the draft hasn't even started yet. Most of the new ones coming in will be good quality but some, not so much. I mention this because I think we as a community do not use the rec system enough. If you see a new fan post go up and you think that it should stand out and last up there for longer then 2 hours, hit the rec button.
Also I want to take a second to point out that I think this year more then any other year, there is a tremendous amount of debate over the way this draft will go. I am willing to bet that with every pick there will be many who love and many who hate that pick at the same time. There are very few players that this Bills team can draft that will appease everyone. Tensions will run high. I cannot preach patience enough. Let me just say that after Jarius Byrd was drafted one well known Rumbler posted the comment, "I hate this team". Proof is right here, you just need to scroll down a bit. I know that many will have immediate opinions, but lets just be calm civil and use you best judgment when posting because I remember everything and I will bring stuff like that up again to embarrass you.
Lets just have some fun, be kind to others in there, (remember we are all rooting for the same thing, we just have different ideas about how to go about it) and as always Go Bills!

With the new front office in place, I firmly believe that these FOOTBALL guys will do the right thing for the team. We may not like some of the choices now but somewhere down the road these guys drafted will turn out all-right
Yeah I admit that my gut reaction to the Byrd pick wasn’t good. But by the time the draft was over and it came out the he was going to be a safety, I was much more comfortable with the pick. All I can say to everyone is that if you totally hate the pick just wait a few hours, let it settle, read some others takes on it and then voice your well thought out opinion.

Nah, I would be fine with Spiller, especially if we couple that move with a QB

that is some FIRE we spewed at the Byrd pick! It’s actually a very amusing read. : ) Looking forward to the unavoidable knee-jerk reactions! It’s all part of the fun.
I do admire this effort to remind us to mind our P’s and Q’s, but even more importantly, it’s good that you are advising Rumblers to comment their thoughts in an appropriate thread, instead of creating more chaos on the fanpost page.

At least with their first rounder. there is so much talent available and the Bills need help at so many positions that pretty much whom ever they pick I’ll be happy.

Yeah man, it’s going to be nuts. Any QB that Buffalo takes in the first couple rounds is going to be controversial. Passing on them entirely would be equally controversial. Personally, I’m just going to try to keep my joy/frustration to the pick and try not to get into shouting matches with people who disagree.

Good post eric, rec’d. I was also guilty of getting ready to jump off the bridge after the Byrd pick, haha! I remember being at a boiling point!! Eric preaches wisdom. I’d also add that if rumblers have something short to say, please dont put it in a fanpost, lets get some awesome threads going instead of putting up posts no one will be able to read because there are so many.

Sireric, I like your style! I actually looked to see who it was, no surprise there…
That being said, let’s all cross our fingers and hope that this front office will make some great decisions tonight… all we’ll ultimately be able to do is sit back, wait and see.
And conversely, like every year, I wait to see who I’ll instantly dislike – namely anyone the Patsies draft, lol.

I also notice from the thread
that more than 1 person said they hated the team after the Byrd pick.
There will be controversies in the later picks, but I think with the amount of good talents available in rounds 2 and 3 it won’t be as hotly debated as the Byrd pick from last year.
