Introducing CB John Destin
I am kind of excited about his guy, and not just because he wasn't drafted by Dick Jauron. This kid is somebody we can root for, not unlike our repeater Ellis Lankster. Destin had no interest out of High School and took to bagging groceries. WIth some hard work and dedication he managed to save enough money to attend Junior College where he played one season of football. Following that year, he compiled a video montage of his work and sent it to every school he could find an address for and was offered a scholarship to play football for the University of Tulsa.
At Tulsa he played some very physical football which you will undoubtedly notice in the highlight video. The kid uses his bump off the line like he is the zero gap nose we have all been waiting for. He isn't the fastest or the strongest, but he seems to have a nose for the ball and brings a physical mindset to his game that may earn him a roster spot. Keep an eye on him.
Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.
