Ancient photo from a more civilized age

I've been meaning to post this for a while. This was taken in 1973 at my apartment in West Seneca with two rookies who would go on to have quite respectable careers with the team. Can anyone guess who they are?

And, yes, I'm the awe-struck 10 year old boy in the middle.

Is the dude on the right Ferguson? Not sure about that, and I did no research to find his picture or make sure his rookie year was 73… awesome picture either way

It is indeed linebacker John Skorupan.

I remember Ferguson being very quiet and reflective while Skorupan was a bit of a party animal. My mother has another picture taken from this evening of my father pouring a pitcher of beer into Skorupan’s open mouth. Ferguson and I played the Foto-Electric Football game that you can see on the couch.
