The Buffalo Bills announced on Tuesday that the team's 2010 training camp will begin on Thursday, July 29. The camp will feature eight night practices - which require tickets to attend - and will close on Tuesday, August 24.
Fans will be able to attend the opening practice on July 29, and the first night practice will take place the next day, on July 30, from 7-9 PM. The team will announce a daily practice schedule on Thursday.
The Bills began voluntary OTA sessions on Monday, with two players - running back Marshawn Lynch and defensive end Aaron Schobel - the only notable absences. Demetrius Bell, Eric Wood, Derek Schouman and Nic Harris will not participate in these sessions, as they're still rehabilitating injuries. Bell and Wood, the only two projected starters of that group, were replaced on the first-unit offensive line by Jamon Meredith and Kirk Chambers, respectively. Several other players will be limited throughout the sessions.
Trent Edwards and Ryan Fitzpatrick split first-team reps at quarterback, though head coach Chan Gailey was careful to note that this occurred only because Brian Brohm and Levi Brown had previously been exposed to his offense.
