So this wasn't that far off after all

So way back in January I did a mock draft. I had planned to do others but as it turns out this one was pretty good. So good in fact that five of the nine players that i had the Bills taking eventually made it to the team as either draftees or undrafted free agents.

Torell Troup, Kyle Calloway, Antonio Coleman, Cord Howard, and Naaman Roosevelt all landed with the Bills and all were in my mock draft. Now I realize that none of the rounds I had them going in and the rounds they actually went in are really close but still, 5 out of nine is pretty darn good if you ask me.

Also of note is the fact that I had a running back being drafted high and I also caught flak for not addressing the OT situation adequately. but then neither did the Bills.

I felt I needed to brag about this a little.....

I can’t ague with you. You hit some of the players pretty good.
But your draft order was WAAAAYYYYYYYYY off. No matter. Good job.

You had the rounds totally off, having us draft a 7th rounder in the 3rd, but who cares, you had the players right.

Nice...four of the five were undrafted free agents.

Nix signed some great UDFA’s. Goes to show the quality and depth of this year’s draft class. It will be interesting to see how many make the roster. Not to mention how many are still in the league in three years.

For as long as I’ve followed the draft, I may have been right an average of 1 player, every 2 or 3 years, after the first round… 5 in one year is simply amazing… I hear McShay might be replaced by this new draft wiz from Buffalo Rumblings :-)

The draft dawns a new year for Buffalo Bills fans, so let optimism reign supreme!!! After all, we are now, UNDEFEATED!!!!

Not Just Your Picks, But Your Opening Comments

… you hit it right on the head. Nix drafted the way you said he would. And while I’ll admit that I was disappointed at times during the draft, I’ve come around (I always do). It’s important to take the best player available on YOUR board. We’ve had drafts before where we filled in the blanks and unfortunately shot blanks. You don’t draft for next season. You draft for the the next five to seven years and it only makes sense to take the best football player you can.
